Thank you so much for the compliment and trust! Though there's still loose decks that needs to find their way to a few backers who haven't received it yet, slowly but surely it's getting there. :)

Nice deck, but perhaps you should reply to messages on KS asking about undelivered decks.

At first I thought you were kidding because I do reply to people. But I see what you mean. I rarely reply on the comments section because everyone's case is different. I reply to every private message on inquiries tho. Thanks for the tip.

P.s. now I know why, I dont have a notifying email when someone posts a comment. I should change this. Thanks again

At a glance, the back design reminds me of the New Fan Backs, I like it

So, I loved Cellar Window's Fuego! decks. When I received the Don Quixote Vol. 1 decks, they were... okay. I mean, all of the elements for a fantastic deck are there, yet somehow, the whole was less than the sum of it's parts. I'm not sure there's any one specific thing I can point to (well, except the backs -- I love metallic inks, but the backs somehow still came off as monochromatically lackluster, even though similarly metallic-inked backs have struck me as pretty awesome in the past); there's not really any element of the deck that's bad, per se. Rather... yeah, it just didn't grab me.

What will be different with Vol. 2 from Vol. 1? Based upon what I see here, it'll still be kinda monochromatic. The theme isn't done strongly enough here to keep me. I'm likely to be sitting this one out. Absolutely no offense to the team at Cellar Windows, and I look forward to more work from them in the future, but Vol. 1 didn't quite grab me, and this one doesn't look like it adds much to the conversation.

Edit: in examining why I'm not inclined to continue backing this series, whereas I was quite pleased with a similarly literary-themed Jackson Robinson's Sherlock Holmes series, it might be worth exploring what Jackson did with the different decks in that series versus what Cellar Windows is doing with the different decks in this series. Is it the level of detail? Is it how wildly different each deck of JR's was in tone and feel, as opposed to more consistent tone in these decks? Are the characters more defined in JR's series? All of the above? None of the above? Hmmm....

I am on the fence for this. I enjoyed the first one but I am not sure if I really need to have this, although it looks nice.

Besides, Don Quixote once dropped on my head but for that I think I can only blame my shelf.

Ha! Another pun! But I think that my night of terror is over and I will go to bed to think about my life choises. Maybe I should mix everything up and just leave to Australia? I just feel like I have all the koalifications to make it. Too crazy. I suddenly feel so irrelephant.

No word on any decks from Cellar window for a very long time...
Backerkit says project closed...
Unfortunately I backed this and the other Don Quixote project. First time I lost my money in kickstarter.

I hope they are but comments on Kickstarter show people don't think they are. They've closed their Facebook account a while back and they don't answer backers questions. And BackerKit showing project closed (not sure if it's in the second or third Don Quixote)... Not a good sign...

I think I have got his personal id somewhere. Let me find it out and try contacting Nam.

Edit: PMing you his email address.

please please pretty please do; any kind of update would be great - I backed Cabinet of Curiosities but the total lack of communication on his other previous projects is really disconcerting... :(

They closed it Jan. 31st. Not unusual for creators to close Backerkit so people don't keep adding stuff.

I looked at my Backerkit link and the status says "Ready to Ship", not that I believe it.

If I recall this isn't the 1st time there's been some sketchiness with these guys. But I personally have always received my decks.

Same, but I only pledged for a single deck from the first Don Quixote campaign. Don't remember when I got it but I don't generally keep track of when these things are "due" per se.

Mine also says ready to ship.
The other Don Quixote only says answered.

Lets hope for the best.

I saw that jpplaying cards received some stock of the Fuego decks recently, I hope that means Cellar Window is still in business.

Ugh. I was 50/50 on Cabinet of Curiosities and mostly backed it because I could justify the price.

That'll teach me.

Comment on the Rocinante kickstarter page:
In an effort to get answers, I wrote to Legends card company a few weeks ago. I've redacted the artist's name. Here's their response:

We were in touch about a month ago, and we have printed the Don Quixote v.2 decks already and they are waiting to be shipped to backers when *** provides the shipping list.

Still waiting to hear from him though so lets hope he isn't in an accident or any sort of trouble.
On the Rocinante project, one backer wrote the comment above.
It seems things are slowly moving.

for all backers of this project, this was posted by Parama Playing Cards:
Parama Playing Cards - Superbacker (about 8 hours ago)

Dear Backers,

As mentioned by Javier we spoke with Lawrence of Legends PCC.

We want to inform you about the situation:

- Don Quixote V2 paid around half of the bill

- Don Quixote V2 Rocinante never paid the down payment so the production never started

- The guy has disappeared and we have tried many ways to contact him and his family

This makes us very angry, both because it damages the world of Crowdfounding and because as collectors and backers we have lost money by financing him. The community of card collectors is important to us and that's why we decided to try and solve the situation.

I confess that we have discussed quite a bit before we get to what we will tell you below.

Our “friend” has pocketed the balance of the bill that Lawrence has never seen and this is the sum that we intend to cover. How will we do it?

In the current project, we have a 25K stretch goal which was used for a fourth Aphelion coloring. We decided to dedicate this goal to the "Save Don Quixote" project. We will donate all the money raised by the project from 16K to 25K to buy Don Quixote V2 decks and send them to you.

To achieve this we decided to make our private collection available: we will sell the numbers from 11 to 50 of all editions of Oris. They will be available as an add-on.

We will increase the amount of the "Parama Collection" rewards to make available all decks that we can in order for this to happen.

Don Quixote V2 decks will be sent to all project backers but we need you to do this.

Last point of the speech is: how do we know who the Don Quixote V2 Backers are?

There are two hypotheses:

- if the thing works out we will ask KS the list of backers (unlikely they will supply this information)

- if KS refuses to give us a hand, then the backers will have to send us the screenshot of the survey

− if you have other ideas, please let us know

Before doing anything we would like your opinion on our idea.

I hope this message will make you more hopeful!
