Westminster by Penguin Magic

Unread post by Reylek »

Hey guys! Many of you have probably seen peeks at our upcoming Westminster deck, designed by Phill Smith (who also designed the amazing DMC Black/Gold marked deck) if you read Penguin Magic Monthly or Card Culture.

Westminster will be released this Wednesday, May 25th, over at Penguin.

It has a custom back design inspired by the architecture of Westminster Abbey, rendered in metallic green ink. Custom AOS and Jokers with a built-in reveal effect, pus a dupe card and a gaff. Bicycle stock, magic finish, traditionally cut. This is a semi-custom deck with mostly standard faces. IE, Most of the faces are standard, aside from the AOS and Jokers.

I've been beating up a deck for the past month, and it's still holding up really well. Best price on them will definitely be on Wednesday at launch time, so I wanted to give everyone a heads-up! I've also attached a quick cell phone shot of the back design.

If you'd like a shot at winning a free deck, you can check out the contest we have running on Instagram right now under @penguincards

Thanks, and I hope you guys like the deck!

Kevin

A shame that this has standard courts. Tuck box reminds a bit of Fourniers tuck boxes.

It's a pretty good deck that I kinda like. I am only trying to cut away from buying pretty good decks that I kinda like and buy great decks that I really like or at least pretty good decks that I really like.

I dream of a world where wars are fought only by having dance offs. I also dream that a Finnish playing card designer would exist. The former seems more likely to happend.
