Any idea when these will be shipping? I ordered a few from Chris Ramsays site but haven't had a shipping note as yet.

If I am correct, I think I saw/heard it was printed by USPCC. Also, I picked mine up from hocus-pocus magic

I gotta say! They arrived today! I admit, these cards are absolutely beautyful: The back designs seems so simple but yet cool! On spreads is AWESOME!
The way they handle is great!
What do you think guys? I think I've found my deck!

I agree whole heartedly, some of the best decks to come out of USPCC in a while, I can't get enough of the designs and the color palette, and they really do handle well. I was on the fence on this one but am glad I got a few, one of my favorite decks of the moment.

Hey Everyone! I have a news flash!!
Murphy's Magic let all dealers know that they are printing a second batch of memento mori's. If your like me, you'll like the original first runs which always handle better. We have a few first editions left at
http://gotmagicshop.com/collections/pla ... mento-mori" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Let me know if anyone has any questions!

Hey Everyone. I just got news from Murphy's Magic (Producer of Memento Mori) that there will be a second run of the Memento Mori Playing Cards. Sadly since Chris Ramsey left before the second run which may have lower quality than the original first runs. This is because Chris Ramsey had no involvement in the second run. Sadly here at got magic we will NOT be stocking the second run due to quality concerns. Luckily, however, we still have a few of the ORIGINAL first runs at gotmagicshop. These are high quality guaranteed.
Here is the link to purchase:

Thanks for the heads up! Do you know if the decks will look the same...will you be able to tell a difference in print run without opening up the deck?

From what I hear they're simply reprinting the same design with the same company, so I don't see how there can be any change in quality?

Hey Shermjack,
Disclaimer: These are predictions! Nothing is confirmed!
The deck will be exactly the same. I don't think you will be able to tell any major LOOK differences but you may notice a difference in quality.
The rumors I have heard is:
1. Registration...The first run had really good registration...second run may not be as great as the first run.
2. Cut..This is really one of my worst concerns in my opinion..The first run had really slick edges which were great for faros and the second run possibly will have not as slick edges.
If you don't own the originals already I highly recommend you stock up. Also the second run is something the public doesn't know! It is just supposed to be a smooth restock.
We at "got magic" stand strong in our quality decks and refuse to restock even if we sell out.
Here is the link to purchase the originals:

Not so sure you should be putting out rumors before they're even out?

This doesn't make any sense to me, what difference would Chris Ramsey make to the production process? Does he work for USPCC?

This sounded more like marketing trick to sell more of the deck and probably increase the price, by spreading rumours about how bad the second printing will be.

Well, those are certainly odd rumors as what I hear is that the decks aren't even finished printing yet? And the USPCC doesn't have a "cheaper option" for a finish either.
If it's not yet finished printing I say let's wait and see how the registration, cut and finish come out instead of guessing and spreading rumors. Nothing to gain there.

Hi everyone,
These aren't confirmed. Like I said they are rumors. Chris played a important part at Murphys, this is his deck after all and he knew printing and quality. I have talked to numerous people that know about the second printing and know what it will bring. Look at most USPCC, whats better the originals or the mass produced second runs. These are predictions I am making...as well as a lot of people, who know Chris, think it will bring. I will order one second run deck and do a comparison. The price remains the same (retail $10). You guys are free to do what ever you want. I wanted to provide some information.

Hey Marcus,
These are just predictions based on what I have heard. If you would like I can take them down.

Words like 'is' and 'will' aren't predictions. In the future I would use words like 'may' or 'could'

Thanks Got Magic! Have always had a pleasant experience buying from your shop. Was thinking about picking up a few more of these decks anyways. Might have to swing by your site when I get home and make that happen.

Here is a screenshot from Peter McKinnon's Instagram where he says "...@chrisramsay52 with the new moves & his #mementomori cards before they were ruined with a reprint.."

That's in reference to the dispute between Murphy's and Ramsay. He wanted to keep it to one print-run, they wanted to reprint as it is a popular deck and as they hold the rights to the design they are going ahead. (I actually spent a few minutes looking into it instead of just playing guess work.) Nothing to do with quality, and besides - Rams has moved on and doesn't care about this anymore so I guess neither should we.
It really is coming across as you're pushing an agenda here. No one has received the reprinted deck yet, so until then how about we not comment on the quality?

ALL designer/custom decks from USPCC are given the same attention to detail - Murphys has a great relationship with USPCC and all of their previous decks have been top notch. So I "predict" that this deck will be on par with what we've all come to expect.

Hocus Pocus has the new Blue version for sale now at the top of their store page.

I really like the blue re-color. Will probably pick up a couple decks.
