Mike posted this on UnitedCardists on Facebook. News to me and no details from Natalia that I've seen. Nice inside scoop Mike!

Oh, I might know a little more than I let on...

Donna and Natalia are friends, as is Ariann Black of Vegas, the "best female magician in the world" twice.

If it wasn't obvious from the 2 jokers shown, as it wasn't to me, Natalia just confirmed Mike's tip that they are launching on the 12th AND Completely new artwork on each card!

Crap, I guess I'm in again for sure then. I'm very sad she went with a green tuck as this would have been a perfect time to get the proper red color actually dialed in from the orangish tint of the first one. Oh well, it will be a lovely partner deck to the first for both collection and to play with.

Mike also posted more teaser photos on Facebook, so I'll go link those to the OP.

This campaign will have 5 prototype decks (out of 9 orinted) available for $60 in a new v2 Carat Card Case™ (with rounded/beveled edges) mailed Priority Mail about three weeks after successfully funding, similar to the way we did Nouveau / UC2016 prototype decks. These will almost certainly be the first tier sold out.

The decks will be printed by USPCC.

We're also working on a few add-ons for basic tiers, including (mentioned above) this new deck & the original Russian Folk Art deck together in a double v2 Carat Card Case™, and I am not certain w+ether of not I mentioned a couple other things, like a set of decks for those that didn't pick up some of her earlier decks...

We're down to less than four days until the Kickstarter campaign launches, and fortunately she had all the artwork pretty.much done, because her Valentines deck came in Thursday and she is madly fulfilling orders, hopefully finished packing/mailing today, well yesterday at this point.

Nested Russian dolls, likely a Russian made engraved crystal glass with the deck in it, etc

Natalia's deck goes "live" on KS here in about 80 minutes. Here's a pix of her uncut (actually rendering) showing the semi-transformational layout of some of the pip cards, specifically the 3s, 6s, 7s, 8s & 10s:
There are double-backer and red-green back gaff cards

For those of you that like truly limited items, five prototype decks (of 9 made) will be available, including a v2 Carat Card Case and shipped about three weeks after funding by Priority Mail anywhere in the world.

And - as always - the prototypes went first, followed by the Early Bird decks. Not bad really, already over $1500...

I snagged he last one. :D I was watching the Rangers game and had forgotten about it until well after launch. Was pleasantly surprised that there was still one available.

The Collector's edition of this deck looks great, I might jump on it. I guess you can use Ultra Limited if it's 75 of them.

Actually, we keep getting things just about right, but not quite. We are offering 50, but max 75 if people really want them. So far we've sold more than half of those initial 50, and since we only gave people about a 24 hour advanced warning, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say we'll end up selling between 60 and 70 if not the absolute upper limit of 75 of these.

(I've had an awful cold, so my brain functions haven't been exactly precise here for a couple of days)

Anyway, those of you that want them we're up to #27 of (50/60/75?) right now. #28 is the next to be sold, unless she's sold a couple that I'm not aware of and my last check-in was over an hour ago. Since I didn't really show them off yet, here's a few pix of the Collector's Edition (and I won't even attempt the Russian/Cyrillic version of that):

Floral theme combining both the OG (red) and Special Edition (current) decks' cards, black glossy (with spot UV) tucks on 310gsm linen finish Arjowiggins French black core casino bond printed by MPC. Each will be customized with the backer's name (real or handle), signature and serial number (i.e. "#28 of 60") in gold on that super-shiny glossy black tuck - their highest grade bond (it's a 330gsm German bond made by MetsaBord GMbH - their "Chromalux" brand, which is used by companies like Hennessey and Moët & Chandon amongst others).

(after I posted, I realized Natalia had posted about it, and I merged hers into this topic and removed a duplicate picture)

Would be cool if the special edition were to use the Cyrillic alphabet for the court suits. The tax man hit me on state level (but Uncle Sam thought I needed some back), so right now I'm debating on whether to add it or not.

I completely agree!

K for Karol (King)
Д for Dama (Queen)
B for Valyet (Jack)

and

T for Tooz (Ace)

That would be *awesome*!

I don't see any reason why not. I will ask Natalia to use Cyrillic (Russian) indices for the Collector's Edition deck. You'd have to think that not many of those are going to end up playing in poker games...

Hey guy,

Sure, let's do it! I think it's a great idea! Love it!

I also thought about this before, but was not sure if all the backers would like it!

Brilliant!

You may want to post this as an update, though, just to make sure none of your high-value backers object. :)

Sounds great because the women as Queens are obvious, the Karols represented by Ks to think as the Kings to tell the difference from the Jacks.
