Your price is a little high for anyone to consider... Might want to change it to a "Buy it Now" option.
Re: SELL Complete Emerald Tally-Ho set 5 Decks!
I agree with above post. Whilst you can put whatever price you like on ebay. You're starting bid is nearly 4 x the amount you paid for in the pledge. Seems unlikely anyone is going to pay 400% more. But hey, if you're willing to sell for near the price you bought it I'd happily take it for $230 so you're getting 25% profit there from the $180 pledged.

Re: SELL Complete Emerald Tally-Ho set 5 Decks!
I understand your views and appreciate the advice. I paid almost $800 to get the complete Scarlett set and not one person selling them would give me a break on the legacy... Not on UC and not on eBay. Just trying to recoup that. Some of the non legacy decks have sold for more than 2/3 of that on their own! That being said I have no problem keeping them. I probably won't realist these beyond Christmas. Until I get the rest of Jacksons cards I have coming to me. (Texas complete sets, black diamond Complete sets including tactical) I may wait till they all come in and put up one big listing with a complete collection of all the legacy projects combine (excluding the tactical) I have reduced the starting bid and considering what the different parts of the set are going for individually online $599 is not a bad place to start. Worst case I keep em and maybe they appreciate. Eventually the 50 legacy decks of all the tally ho's will settle in the collections of folks that won't want to get rid of them and they will be very hard to come by. I have a few complete sets to sell I'm trying to find a base line. Thanks again for advice. [emoji4]

It hurts when you see people just buying cards to sell them for profit... Especially on UC.

Re: SELL Complete Emerald Tally-Ho set 5 Decks!
I'm not trying to make money just trying to break even... If I couldn't recoup some of the money I have spent on my cards I couldn't afford to collect them. I have sold expensive decks to members on here for cost + S&H most of the time if I can make enough money on one set to pay for my initial investment I list any additional decks or sets on eBay for cost. If there is profit awesome if not then no big deal.

Re: SELL Complete Emerald Tally-Ho set 5 Decks!
I can sell for cheaper on here because there is no commission. Please understand that I am only trying to get for these what they are worth... Just because I have more than one set doesn't mean I should have to let them go for cost to folks that did not get in on them.
I am a collector. I do not buy cards to gouge others. I buy them to collect and pay for future sets. In most cases they are very expensive because I am a completist collector and collect Jackson exclusively. I decided to collect him only because it's too expensive to start collecting complete sets that have been around for a while.
I discovered Jackson Robinson by accident when he released his first Federal 52 campaign. Now I try to collect all his sets as they come out it's much cheaper and easier to collect cards this way... I got lucky... Jackson Robinson is a really good artist to collect exclusively. I have a lot of respect for his art. There are a lot of other collections I would love to have but it's just not easy and affordable to get every deck from other artists out there and I am an "all or nothing" kind of person.
I did try to collect other artists and it was just too expensive. No way to buy 2 sell 1. Maybe that's a bad way to look at it but I really enjoy collecting cards and there's no other way for me to afford it. I was into the No. 17 series for $150 no way to recoup it and I hadn't even begun to collect the more rear decks in that collection.

Guys, the seller can price their items for whatever they wish, sure we can say "isn't that a little high?" But let's not go into the morals and ethics of the trading world, there would be no end to this debate.

Re: SELL Complete Emerald Tally-Ho set 5 Decks!
I don't disagree with 4 of clubs but It's interesting that the projects seem to be set up in a way that encourages high resale values. Whether intentional or unintentional, It could be viewed as bidding for a wholesale contract and the selling them on at retail prices. There are so many economic principles going on with all of this, honestly for me that's a part of the fun, seeing the projects fulfilled and watching the secondary market go nuts trying to decide what something is worth. The guy that posted the $500 White guilded deck set the market cap on the deck and made the next two decks go for $200, now the price is around the $89 mark. Presumably it will settle at the $100+ mark once the market isn't flooded with sellers.4.of.Clubs wrote:It hurts when you see people just buying cards to sell them for profit... Especially on UC.
