Voltige White Label Edition

Unread post by jsantafe »

Voltige is certainly one of my favourite decks. This BF is getting really crazy, although no release date has been set.

Note the traditional tuck opening this time, and the hype on the publication: "Beyond Limited". Sigh...

(Don't know if I should create a new topic or continue with the original Voltige one, up to you, Mods!)

Really no comments from anyone? No interest in this? I am surprised, I expected just a tiny bit of excitement.

Well, I'll hype it myself: Wohoooooooooooooo!!! More Voltige!!!!!! Yeaaahhhhh!!!!

Done. I'll come back in a couple days to keep it up.

Maybe it´s due to the lack of information about how this deck will be released... :ugdance:

The reason why some of us aren't excited to see another Voltige edition is because of the problems of the first edition decks. The ridiculous hype for the first decks even exceeded the Bucks' dubious standards when the design of the court cards were claimed to have been hand-drawn from scratch, when in fact, they are almost exact duplications of existing vintage French courts.

Then you had the completely impractical tucks. When you opened up a new deck, it was a project in it of itself because of the poorly executed perforations you had to break through to open the side tuck, along with the perforated deck seals that didn't always align with the tuck's perforations. And because it was so difficult to open and close the side tuck, you had the box prematurely wear out, particularly at the back hinge of the tuck. This tuck design was so bad that D&D completely ditched it for regular tucks that opened at the top for their second editions.

Everyone's taste's and opinions vary, and there are a few, like you, who apparently loved the Voltige decks. Good for you, you probably won't have too much competition buying these new Voltige decks...

The second edition of Voltige is now available at Art of Play for 15 dollars. Only in red color though. And they are apparently sold on Art of Play for today only.

So if anyone wants one, get one today.

Yeah they think people are going to pay shipping for orders every other day or something? Seems like the only difference is the tuck anyway, i'll pass for now. I'm sure they'll be available another day anyway.

Totally agree. I'm passing on this too.
International shipping is too expensive for 1 deck. (15$ to ship a deck) Well no.

I like the v.1 of this deck, and would love to pick up some v.2's. But... not at $20 a pop. Sigh.
