Not sure if that's the title or just a slogan on the box, but this is coming from Dan and Dave on Black Friday:
Match box or deck or cards?

ZOMG!
I can use my not strike anywhere matches with this box!
If I can do that, idk what it is I'm buying.

Maybe it comes with a match too, just in case you don't like the deck and want to burn it!
All kidding aside, I am quite intrigued about this deck and why they would put a matchbox striker on it.

Cuz why not!?!? I think it's really cool and innovative.

Yeah, there are a lot of cool and innovative things that can be done with a tuck, but a matchbox striker?

Is it something to be used in a magic trick? Realistically, I can't see any real reason for this type of design, but then again I have no imagination...still, quite intrigued.

In the photo it looks like it's glued on fellas.

I don't know, I actually think that they meant it to be part of the tuck...looking at the words 'Venture Onward', the pic of a tent in the outdoors, plus the mention by the Buck Twins on their instagram about loving the great outdoors, I am thinking it is an Outdoorsy deck....guess we'll see on Black Friday

Now the match thing makes sense. I seem to be in a minority here but I really like the strike strip on the tuck.

I like the idea to bring playing cards when we go camping, and use the side tuck to light a match.
but how long will the tuck last?

I'd expect a more rugged construction If it's meant for outdoors. Maybe a plastic tuck and the cards as well. Pretty neat though.

Bradley Mountain is calling them Adventure cards and Dan & Dave are calling them Camp cards. They need to get on the same page.

You'd think coming up with 12 forest themed cliparts would be pretty easy, huh?

Worse- they're not even courts!

BTW, my assessment of these is that they suck. The backs are one-way and the clipart courts are repeating.

I prefer "Adventure" cards.
"Camp" in "Camp Cards" reads like an adjective rather than a noun to me - and has a whole other meaning than they intend...

I put in an entry for these in Portfolio52, but I did so under "Camp Cards" as that is what D&D are calling them. I didn't realize that Bradley Mountain were also selling them.
If anyone feels this should be changed or "Adventure Cards" added to the title, let me know or edit away...

For the longest time, I thought the Bruce Lee deck was the worst deck D&D ever sold. I think these Camp cards took the title of worst deck from the BL deck. Incredibly weak, repeating courts. Almost makes me miss Brad Fulton. Almost. Anyways, the twins couldn't even wait one month after the release of the Camp cards before liquidating them off on Touch of Modern. If you have to have this deck (and I really hope you don't), they're available on ToM for the next 5 days. Check out the ToM sticky, Vasta updated the thread with all the D&D decks currently available on sale.

Wow, repeating courts, how lame. How come none of these design firms can figure out how to design a deck of cards? They all turn out like most of the Deckstarter decks. And why D&D and Art of Play keeps selling stuff like this I don't know. Personally I think if you are going to put in the effort to design a deck, then go the whole way and don't just design 3 court cards and a joker.

Well, I can easily see why a Design Firm created Deck would have repeating Courts. My day job is at a small, but extremely busy, Design Firm (
http://www.motivemktg.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). If a client came to us and said they had even a moderate $10k-$15k design budget to create a fully-custom Deck that included 12 unique Court Cards, my boss would laugh them out the door! That wouldn't come close to paying the amount of billable hours it takes to do something of that scale in an Agency environment. The sad truth is a fully-custom Deck is mostly suited for the solo Artist/Designer doing it on the side. Which is perfectly fine!!
Thanks, Randy

Yes because it was just screaming for a color change, oh wait the backs didn't even change color, just the tucks and faces. If anything you would think a deck like this would be in an outdoorsy green color or something. Pass
