I bought his last deck Onida just because of the amazing looking tuck box. And although the courts were just okay and the Jokers, Ace of Spades and the back design could have used some improvement, Onida still made it to my "second favorites" box*. One of the best looking tuck cases in my collection.

So I'm waiting to see more.

*In the same box as Ornates, Mana v2, Vintage Plaid, Medallions etc.

I dream of a world where wars are fought only by having dance offs. I also dream that a Finnish playing card designer would exist. The former seems more likely to happend.

This being a "latitude" deck, the horizontal tuck makes at least some sense to me. Also if the previous picture is correct, then there will be a "longitude" deck that has a vertical tuck too.

I get the theme and it'a cute but I just hope the sideways tuck thing is a fad that goes away soon.

Both as longitude and latitude (portrait/landscape orientations), clever, but a bit silly.

Given there is only a single image of any of the cards themselves, I think it's safe to assume standard courts. It's also hillarious they spelled longitude as longtitude! :lol: LPCC quality control strikes again!

The faces are mostly Legends standard faces but I do really like the tuck boxes. Maybe it's sort of a money grab to market them as a pair but I think it does fit the theme really well and the vertical/horizontal tuck box and even the name of the decks is quite clever. Here's a link to the review I just posted: https://youtu.be/ULzFHQmQFXQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks for another really well done and logically put together (just like you have done in the past) so that everybody knows what to expect from the long review, because you take the time to do all the background detective work required to give the whole picture and tell the story for each artist as to how/why and how long it took each artist to do their decks. You are starting to pick p the pace, as people are getting used to how you elaborate enough to get everything correct in the first place. Personally, I would rather have it be long and tell the story that the artist tried to tell with the artwork in each deck, but not every artist is going to share everywhere you need each time. So far it seems like they have done at least enough for you to get by. It's some truly ground breaking territory at least as far as the texture and style/format have answered enough I'm glad to see someone take this approach, where they interact with the artists one by one instead of try to make assumptions about the way a deck or theme comes together. I'd almost like to see the notes, even if it's just a printout of the email showing that the artist took the time to respond.

David, I am going in and fixing the

Code: Select all

in your posts, because some of the tags like ]ebay[ is broken, and I'm not certain about ]youtube[ whether it's working or not.

The correct format that always works is putting ]url[ in front and ]/url[ at the end with the brackets backwards, which I did on purpose or the system will try to make them work even if they don't.

Cool review; I have paused just past where you talk about the aces. I notice that you *didn't* notice that the Ace of Diamonds in the Longitude deck is misspelt "Longtitude."

Once you see that, you can never unsee it. It's very unsettling.

But, as others have stated, I love the tucks (the feel of them is really cool), and the artwork, where customized, is quite good. :-)

Yeah, that was my bad.. someone actually even mentioned it earlier in this thread but I thought they were talking about the tuck box or something and assumed the spelling error had been corrected. Guess my brain kind of just skimmed over it when I was looking at it and assumed it was correct. Kind of like this sign:
