Meh, standard courts, although the AoS and jokers are custom.

I like them, but not enough to pull the trigger. The back seems kinda... boring. :?

Image link broken in OP. I do like the back, seems interesting to me, although the price will be the final judge on how interesting it is. Anyone know how much it'll run for?

I don't do magic, but those are some pretty nifty gaff cards.

I'd love to see a video of someone putting them to interesting use!

Kevin showed me this cool Video they did for the release (the Honey dipped Deck above is a screenshot from the Video). The guy in the Video does a switch or whatcha-call-it with each of the Gaff Cards. I don't know the Magic lingo, but it turned out cool!! I'm pretty sure the Video will be with the release's product page.

Thanks, Randy

No idea, I would imagine they'll be less than a KS deck. Should be around $7ish would be my guess.

These Honeybee's are going to be Sweet! (I had to say it)

I want to say they'll be around $8. Might be a price drop for multiple decks. I've seen them first hand at the 52+joker convention and they're quite nice.

And I have had this deck in my collection for weeks now thanks to CBK

Bees been popular this year, next year it might be ants.

I wanna see how rest of courts look because those determine the purchase for me.

I'm super excited to have these launch today! Randy did an amazing job with the artwork, and we have a great video demo that will go live with the launch later on today.

Bikefanatic - I'll try to get some court card images uploaded for you. The color scheme and honeycomb texture that Randy used to revamp them looks really cool!

Anyone picked up a brick and wants to share? The shipping for 1 deck is almost as much as the deck itself...

I picked up a brick. I'm trying real hard not to pick up another one. Been doing the whole, stay away from the comp/tablet/lappy thing and all that fun stuff. A campaign was relaunched on KS and drew me back in!

When I see a deck is designed by Randy Butterfield. It's always an easy buy for me. I go through a lot of decks and with exception of Tally-Ho circle backs, Randy Butterfield designed decks are the decks I use the most often. Been this way for two years now and I really don't see an end to the trend, always wonderfully usable decks that just make me happy.

I see HONEYBEE's and I feel... I must haz! Like a bear after a honeycomb haha.

Got one in my "Card Club" shipment from Penguin Magic today.

BTW, I recommend Penguin's Card Club. It's four decks per month, and pretty much every month I get one or two decks I was curious about but passed up on during their initial release, I get one or two decks I already have and very much like (and so, don't mind getting a redundant back-up), and then one or two decks that hadn't even occurred to me to pick up but that are nonetheless nice additions to the collection. The price per deck ends up being quite reasonable. And, as noted above, sometimes you get a preview of a deck you didn't even know was coming. :)

Will these be for sale or are they just part of the deck of the month thing

These will be for sale. I recall reading somewhere on their site that the print run was 2,500. Wasn't that the print run of the first edition? Not sure.

Hey Rouselle, glad you're enjoying the Black Honeybees, as well as Card Club!

We definitely try to make Card Club a tremendous value - the face value of the decks each month is WAY higher than the price paid for the Card Club subscription. We will also be including Sneak Peek/Early Releases much more frequently as many of our pipeline decks are now coming to fruition.

June club was awesome with Westminster, Black Honeybee, Memento Mori, and Dapper Orange in the package.

Not making any promises, but there may just be a new Penguin deck in the July club as well - so definitely get subscribed! ;)

And yes, Black Honeybee will be for sale - Card Club subscribers have just gotten theirs early as a little bonus. We have printed 2,500 of the Black - same quantity we did for the original Yellow deck. The first ones sold out in 2 days, and we think the new ones will also get snatched up. The Black ones look and feel AWESOME. Like the originals, they are on Bee stock & magic finish, traditionally cut.

Likely being released later this month, but I don't have an exact release date to share with you guys just yet.

I've attached a photo here. The best place to stay up-to-date on Penguin decks is to subscribe to our e-newsletter, and also to follow @penguincards on Instagram.

$25 per month for 4 deck, delivered in the US isn't bad at all. It's an interesting membership but seems reasonable. The obvious downfall is getting decks you already have but so far it seems pretty varied.

Hi everyone. Just a quick note to say that the Black Honeybees will be released this Thursday, the 16th.

The original Honeybees sold out in 2 days, so we expect these to go quickly as well!
