Yes very intrigued - have some court cards to tease us with?
What's the story behind your deck?
Do you know what date and approximate time (and time zone) you're planning to launch? Kickstarter?
Early birders like to set their calendars - haha.
The UC peeps have lots of opinions that I think when artists take into consideration... they often end up with improved decks / promotion. Smart collective brain hive.
Good luck with your campaign!

So, we have Red, Grey, and Black and a Big, fat ribbon with text on it. Smells like a minimalist deck. Let's see more.

Theme and title have potential, but without seeing the court cards this could go either way for me. Need lots more details, including launch details and photos, to get more interest or any last second advice before launch.

Thx JazzVox
The deck is based on fictional characters. Been a big fan of John Bellairs' dark storytelling as a kid. Initially I wanted to name them The Gories (a tribute to Edward Gorey) but I didnt want to tarnish the man's name with my doodling!
I was about to put in a small order with MPC for friends. That’s when they said to give KS a go... so I found UC forum very last minute. You guys offer lots of good points that we rookies do miss.
I am aware this deck may not be for serious Cardists, so the project could go either way.
Will be launching this Sept 30, ending Oct 31.

The back is not overly exciting imo and we still haven't seen the faces.

OminousMG - Welcome. I've heard MPC is a good place to do small batches. Your deck is not playable though. The quick fix is put this same background on all your Pips. I like ppl who bleed into the cut border.

I like your Pips. They are different from the standard boring. I like that your courts are "1-Sided", but your transition from one side to the other could use some help. A black diagonal line for a transition is fine, but you need to melt the two sides together. This guy is a
Master at transitions. Notice his BoS.

I was about to mention Gorey!
Have you seen his Fantod Pack? (
http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/fantod/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) I'm getting some Rugrats vibes - though I prefer your drawing style. Klara reminds me of Dorothy Parker.
I also like your dynamic approach to laying out each card.
Is the layout final? Here's a suggestion: how about making each card look like you were seeing them through the shards of a broken mirror - the layout looks like a cracked mirror anyway. It might go well with the dark kids theme.
Good luck with your campaign!

Thanks @sprouts1115 for the feedback! and yes, MPC does serve its purpose for us newbies starting out. Will take note about the pips, thx for the advice.

Yes, I have seen the Fantod Pack, great deck ^_^ Gorey is a brilliant illustrator, I particularly love his Dracula: a Toy Theatre. Thx for the awesome suggestion with the broken mirror! this will come in handy for my next venture...may roll this trio into a graphic novel/comic, this is going to take some dedicated time though.

Thanks for your support @Eoghann!
And to show my appreciation for our team of Backers and others sharing the word on social media, I am working on a desktop wallpaper for end of campaign (Oct. 31) as my way of saying
"Thank You". Feel free then to share with forum members here and friends/family
. Regardless of the campaign's success, the best part in this are meeting new faces/names and seeing the numerous feedback.
Thank you all!

Liberty Playing Cards?

Liberty Playing Cards is owned by GW. I picked up a brick of Liberty Standards earlier this year. From my experience they hold up to use quite well, which is to say no tears or rips in over 800 shuffles from myself and people who shuffle worse than even I do. Actual game play situations not me by me onesies. There are some decks from other printers that simply did not handle that kind of use at all. I'm not a magician and I'm not a cardistry pro either but the handling isn't the best but light years above the worst. Card stock feels thin, not bulky like some stock is. It's got a good flex to it too. The coating is pretty thin, it's not quite what the some larger printers is but it is there. The embossing on the paper has a nice linen grid, if anything the grid is a little more pronounced than what you may be used to. Liberty makes a solid product.
Another deck printed by Liberty Playing Cards if my memory serves was the Legacy black deck, you may know this deck.
I'm a backer on this campaign. I think it's going to be a fun deck even though the full bleed and design does not lend itself well to gaming. I'm going to use this one for Solitaire. I asked because it didn't say it on the page and I was curious, but yea they're planning on GW for fulfillment too. Your decks will arrive nicely packed.

I have always liked the artwork of this deck and would have been interested in backing, but 14USD for a single deck printed by Liberty is just ridiculous, especially since I got my last Liberty decks at less than 4USD a deck.
Easy choice for me...

The black and red bleed over should quite interesting. The side should be colorful at least after a few shuffles. Not a poker deck. At least he fixed the JoH...
