Hello guys!

I'm working on this from the end of the previous Omnia campaign, and it will probably be live from Jan 2016, because I prefer deliver Omnia first and I don't like launch in late November or December.

Some informations on the project, let me know what do you think:

- Probably I'll do 3 decks again, one limited, 2 unlimited
- Every deck will be custom, not just a color swap (like the previous Omnia project)
- At least 2 metallic inks on cards per deck
- Foiled tuckboxes
- It's based on the ancient history of the Omnia universe, inspired by 4 important cultures of the past (Greeks, Roman, Babylonian, Egyptian)
- Temporary names of the decks are Omnia Antica, Omnia Perduta, Omnia Magnifica
- Pretty queens :p

Now, because I know that words needs to be followed by pics, here is a preview, exclusive for my United Cardists friends (never posted before) >

Love it! By chance are you doing something similar to what RJ did with his Colonial decks in regards to an index sheet defining who the kings and queens are?

@Vasta41 - It could be an idea, however the courts are not "specific" people, even if some of them are strongly inspired by ancient characters (I'm sure everyone could guess who is the Queen who inspired my QoH)

:D

I think vasta41 is talking about a fictional character, with an invented story, like in the Delirium deck, right?

@jsantafe - @Vasta

Do an "Omnia book" is tempting :)
On the other side, I wanted focus only on decks - but who knows? The Omnia Pecunia coin wasn't planned at all, I did it only because a lot of backers asked for it :D

Anyways, if you want to know more on the background behind Omnia, I'll be happy to share more ;)

BTW, you mentioned on your kickstarter that there's an Italian card game that is based on using two decks of cards. What was it?

Thank you @Jack!!!

The game is "Scala 40" - Used to play a lot when I was a kid, with my parents, with a blue and red Modiano decks :)

Thanks for the teaser for UC peeps - makes us feel all special and junk. Looking great! Love that you are taking your time to take care of things. Also cool that each of the three decks will be custom. Bring on the pretty queens! ;)

@Mike @Kai

:D

At the moment the only tuck I'm sure to do is the "Antica" one (included in microsite preview), with copper foil and very dark red (or black) paper.

Perduta and magnifica are lost in time...for now :D

Lovely looking tuck. It is a brown or maroon? Not to bring up another deck but it reminds me of Bicycle Collectors. It looked maroon but come out as football brown color. A medium, shiny maroon with gold looks great.

@Bruno - Ahah yes, he's a persian/babylon inspired king :)

@Bikefanatic - I am waiting for EPCC papers to decide if use a dark brown or a very dark red (that will looks almost brown). The foil will be copper, so I want a dark color to have enough contrast :)

From the last KS update ;)

Omnia Magnifica will be the limited deck of the campaign. Like Omnia Suprema, will be available mainly on Kickstarter, and will be much more affordable on Kickstarter than anywhere else.

Here is a first look of the deck:
magnifica_main.png
This deck will show the magnificent, remote past of the Omnia Universe, full of legends and heroes.

Will have a lot of details, metallic inks and a double foiled tuck box. I think it's the most baroque deck I designed....yet.

What do you think? ;)

Could a little more red be used for Magnifica's tuck? Looks too much like Oscura's.

I wanted Magnifica similar to Oscura (and Illumina, talking about the tuck structure) on purpose, however the paper will be a lot different.
Won't be black... and probably won't be "standard" paper ;)

Thank you!
