Re: NEW DECK- "Unnamed" Deck
This statement seems to deny and imply custom court cards.Evan wrote:"There is a custom Tuck, Joker, and Ace. It's an stunning Asian themed card based of Japanese and Chinese mythology. A classic and timeless design, engraved by hand by one of the world's leading artists." - Lawrence Sullivan
But I won't hold my breath.

Re: NEW DECK- "Unnamed" Deck
I've been talking with Bill. Make no mistake; even though this isn't USPCC, the quality is fantastic.
I'm not one to excessively hype and spew verbiage as above, but I can attest to the quality, it is flawless.

Have you handled these?Russell wrote:I've been talking with Bill. Make no mistake; even though this isn't USPCC, the quality is fantastic.

Re: NEW DECK- "Unnamed" Deck
Not these specifically, but I have laid my hands on a few others. I was impressed.
Funny enough, we were talking about this during the trip to Erlanger a couple months ago.

Re: NEW DECK- "Unnamed" Deck
Well, I'm definitely curious, though I'm really only mostly interested in full custom decks. Still, being a good non-USPCC is enough to pique my interest. I've got absolutely nothing against USPCC but I like to see some healthy competition; it helps innovate and diversify.
Re: NEW DECK- "Unnamed" Deck
It seems like the card company that is making this deck could be from China.
David Blaine posted a pic on his Instagram saying that the customs in Beijing took away one of his "souvenir".

I really don't think that picture or caption has anything to do with this deck. I could be wrong, though.Naxx wrote:It seems like the card company that is making this deck could be from China.

Re: NEW DECK- "Unnamed" Deck
I'm very interested in this deck and the specifics of its manufacture. The design doesnt really excite me but I'll definitely keep an eye on this and try to get a few.

Re: NEW DECK- Legends Deck
Is it just me or is the embossing realllllyy deep?
I meant that in a good way tho, just not sure how long the tuck can keep up its 3D look..

Re: NEW DECK- Legends Deck
The emboss does look very nice indeed. I'm quite curious who is printing this...

Re: NEW DECK- Legends Deck
That really does look like some DEEP embossing. I wonder if they'll release all 3 decks at once.. or do it Blaine style and release them 1-2 months apart

Re: NEW DECK- Legends Deck
I hope staggered. We have had too many releases this year (especially the last few months) and with a new printer I think if the quality is up to par the second and third releases will do much better. Otherwise the inital reception might be a bit tepid. Heck look at the fact that many people were worried about the silver split spades quality based on the price alone.CBJ wrote:That really does look like some DEEP embossing. Re: NEW DECK- Legends Deck
I actually hope they release them all at once. Place 1 order instead of 3. Shipping rates are high to Canada, so for me it would be better to get them all at once
Re: NEW DECK- Legends Deck
arent the three colors are blue, red and green? we saw the blue one but the new pic of tuck box is purple tho
Re: NEW DECK- Legends Deck
Yeah and honestly for me, if they release them all at once I'm far more likely to get them all than if I have to place separate orders at a staggered release for just this reason...CBJ wrote:I actually hope they release them all at once. First rule of card deck collecting... why buy one, when you can buy 3 at thrice the price...Evan wrote:I've got some new info!

Re: NEW DECK- Legends Deck
High in detail, but boring color-wise. At least compared to the box, so it's a bit of a T11-let down for me. The rather dull tint doesn't really make the details visible enough, though I guess that can't be said for certain without seeing the actual deck.
On the upside, the borders seem nice and thin.

Re: NEW DECK- Legends Deck
I wouldn't say they are boring color wise...just more subdued in my opinion. Then again, im not expecting every deck to burst with color... That's just me though.
Re: NEW DECK- Legends Deck
I kind of like the colour, it gives it sort of an antiqued look without going for heavy distressing.
