Hello everyone,
My name is Doug and I am from Vancouver Canada. I grew up playing both Magic and Legend of the 5 rings. I just created my first deck of cards and launched it here
I'm really curious what the community thinks of this idea. I've received a lot of feedback and one of your members introduced me to unitedcardists!
Virtual jumping high fives,
Doug

Re: Introducing Learn A Language While Playing Cards
DouglasBeech - Welcome. So, you have an art deck. YOu can break all the rules. Noticed your spade in your 10oS is a bit off to the right compared to the other pips. Most of the time you want all the suit indexes to line up. Usually, It's not a good idea to put a border around the indies. It forces the indices into the meat of the card. You don't want that, especially, with the big corner border badge you got going on. Ahhh, on second thought is seems to work just fix that ten card and you will be ok...

Thanks for the heads up! I totally see what you are talking about on the 10 of spades. I've been in talks with a bunch of suppliers and they have been pointing out a range of "line up" issues. I'm working on these for sure to make sure they all have a similar look and feel.

Re: Introducing Learn A Language While Playing Cards
I love languages and playing cards, so I love your idea. (I've studied French, Italian, German, Russian, and Spanish.)
However, I am a bit dismayed that even in the sample cards you show, there appears to be a misspelling. (Jack of spades has "quierro" when I'm pretty sure it should only have one "r".)
Typos, misspellings, and grammatical mistakes are rampant in our world these days, but I don't think they should be tolerated on something that is specifically about learning a language. This makes me question what translation source you used and what sort of quality proofreading was done??

Re: Introducing Learn A Language While Playing Cards
There was previously a similar set of decks on Kickstarter from Lingo, also French and Spanish. Later they released Italian and one other Asian language via their site, with I believe plans for more. These are ok, but so are the Lingo ones which I already have. I have a feeling many who may be interested in these already got the Lingo decks and may not have the interest in basically the same thing again, but I could be wrong. Best of luck to the creators.

My girlfriend is half Dutch, so if there was a Dutch version I'd buy that
