Well there suppose to get access to exclusive decks, I guess well find out, hopefully they release it for the holidays like they did with the original (fingers crossed)

Actually, I followed that link and it sent me to blank page with a funny statement, but if you click on the capital "H" on the word "Hype" - there's a reason it's capitalized... it takes you to a page where you can read about the upcoming Sultan Harem Decks...

Anyways, I pre-ordered a brick of those since they'll be more limited than the Sultan Treasury... and at $5.95/deck it's a heck of a deal...

Well for me its hyping something up.
Ellusionist will let us know about new decks and stuff when THEY want US to know.
There is a reason for having this picture in the email (or should i say a purpose of the email),creating a buzz of course.
Just a matter of minutes till one guy took a closer look at the decks on that picture and saw something new and posted about it.
Getting people curious whats comming up and having speculations going on etc. and it worked.
They are a company and want to sell stuff...takes no rocket science to figure that out
You have to create a desire for that product..slowly step by step

I don´t want to bash on Ellusionist here...just stating the obvious whats going here.
I actually really like what you did with the Fathom deck....no pre-advertising or hype.

I dunno, a brief pre-sale event is a promotion too, just a different kind. Enthusiasts will buy the stuff no matter what, but it's important to make it fun both for the people making it and for the people who might be on the fence.
