Was this the deck Jackson advertised as "never done before"?

I want to say it's a branded leather tuck with gold seal. It HAS to be. It just has to. That would be redonkulous

I did originally post something about this deck being "never done before" however I'm actually going to use the "never done before" element for another future project and not this one. I wanted the project I unveil the "never done before" thing on to be big so I decided to pull it from this project.

Hint, the project I AM using the "never done before" thing on has a 52 in the title. :)

The Texas deck does have some very interesting elements. The Limited Edition will have an traditionally Intaglio Engraved Tax stamp. This is the same printing process all of the old tax stamps used to use. Tax stamps on cards hasn't been used in decades.

Jackson - You do have it correct with the First Texas flag on the BackOfCard.

We need to complete the queen's crown. She looks beheaded. I'm for equal pay :D No court borders. Very bold...

I like the golden star on the bottom, but maybe it should be right side up. Another option is to make it a modern Texas star.

and make it Small so nobody will notice it.

I also like the extra long rank in the index. Have you thought of a extra long skinny club. I Know you like skinny clubs. :D It might look better if the two elements in the indices were elongated... Good for peeking in Texas Hold'em...

Come on Sprouts, you gotta speak in complete thoughts so I can know what you're talking about. :) The Burnet flag was not the first official flag of the State of Texas. :)

On top of the intaglio engraved tax stamp the LTD edition will also have 23 Karat Gold Hand applied gilding. The LTD will be a 250 deck edition. I will also have 50 Legacy edition similar to the Scarlett & Emerald Tally projects in a Texas Pecan display case.

These will also be printed by USPCC

I'll try for a LTD but not really interested in the Legacy editions. They are nice but I just don't feel the need for them.

Didn't someone make a Texas deck with 72 cards or something like that.

walrus - Naw, that was some weird 60 card deck with 4 extra Jokers. Each joker had it's own suit. Jokers have been around for 150 years. Instead of 13 cards in a suit, it had 15 cards in a suit with two extra court cards. All 5 courts were used to make a royal flush. The pip cards Ace and Ten were not used in the royal flush. Crazy huh?

Jackson, I like this one a lot! Nice job, and definitely outside the norm. I haven't read back, and was out of town for ten days so I missed a good bit of the recent discussion. We're going for a 'first', eh? ;)

Excellent!

Nope. I'm saving that little development for a different project, that is a little closer to the heart. However I have finally found a printer that is traditionally intaglio engraving my Tax stamp for this project. I won't claim that its a first ;) but I will say it hasn't been done for a long time.

The tax stamp will be unique from other tax stamps, it will more reminiscent of the long cigar style tax stamps and go around the deck like a belly band. The tax stamp will also be integrated into the tuck design as well, rather than just slapped on top.

Jackson - I was pointing out the white star means a state. A white star in a state part of a union. The gold star means a state of war. It's like a battle flag. Notice the arrogance of gold. No silver; Only white. I like your BackOfCard with the gold.... Notice the perfect Texas flag. I like the way the white bar is on top; Opposite of the USA...

Here is an image of the 23 Karat Gold Gilded edition with the intaglio engraved tax stamp. (250 total will be produced)

I haven't completely ironed out the pricing on the Gilded or Legacy decks but I'm pretty sure the Premium, non gilded edition, will land at $15 with domestic shipping included into the $15 and the Players Edition being around $10 or $11 with domestic shipping included into the price. (When I say "domestic shipping included in the price, I mean you won't have to pay $10 for the deck and then another $X for shipping once you have pledged) Kickstarter has made it so confusing now with shipping.

Here is the non gilded edition

And the lower cost players edition, similar to my display decks.

That blue and gold on the tuck looks amazing. Great to see that lower price display deck again. I love bringing those to my poker games

A tax stamp is like your signature on checks or credit card receipts now a days. What is it good for? Nothing. Nice to have access to the cards. You can tell when the gilded has been separated. An evolved tax stamp.

I'm still n for sure, but not feeling the red tax stamp as much as the white you posted on Instagram. Still looks great though.

Tentative price structure for the upcoming Texas deck, obviously these could change but wanted to give you an idea.

It is structured similar to the Scarlett & Emerald projects:

Player's Edition - (AKA Display Decks & Add on only) - $10 Dom Shipping Included
Premium Edition - Sweet Tuck case with normal KW bells and whistles - $15 Dom Shipping Included
LTD Gold (qty 750)- Premium Edition with added Intaglio Engraved hand numbered tax stamp and USPCC gilded edges. $35
Legacy Edition (qty 50) - Gold edition, however with hand applied 24 Karat gold gilding. Hand made Texas Pecan slip case and hand number intaglio engraved tax stamp on Pecan Slip Case as well. $200
