Apparently this is coming July 5th, i'm guessing to his site. No info on who the printer is, but it looks like a fun deck.

Isn't it PUFF the magic dragon?

Hey thanks for the post. I've been working with Piff on this deck over the course of this year and it's going to be a lot of fun! The tuck especially was a complex design element that we were able to make work. We'll be printing them with EPCC as they were able to accept our challenges of creating a custom tuck box, die-cut cards, etc.

Anyone not familiar with the Piff The Magic Dragon act...here's a link.

As far as I know, Puff the magic dragon and Piff the magic dragon aren't related. Piff does have an older brother. Steve. You may have heard of him.

I have a theoretical degree on magic dragons. The common misbelief that all magic dragons live by the sea is very old knowledge and nowdays considered innappropriate and very rasict. A vast majority of magic dragons actually live in specks of star dust, colors of the wind and inside those holes in macaroni pasta, but only in macaroni pasta. Living in any other type of pasta in found shameful by vast majority of magic dragons. The talk about rights of magic dragons living inside any other type of pasta was at it's highest at 12,lobster past potato at the year of the very-loud-Italian-American-family-next-table, but then everyone realized they simply don't care about that much about the subject and started drinking ice cold Bailey's which is also what I am going to do now.

I hope these cards are going to be good :)

It's a cute deck with an artist and a printer to back it up. It doesn't break any rules for an art deck. Court cards are "1-sided". :nostar: :nostar: :ucstar:

Get you in the mood...

Thanks everyone for the positive support! We just wanted to create something that was super fun for Piff fans and card enthusiasts. Totally not your typical deck. We had a great time working on this and we're very excited to bring it to the public.

At $20 a deck... Sad to say I can't do it...

Have to agree. $20 is way too much for this deck. Have to vote with my wallet on this one.

Yes, I got there in time for an early bird, but 15$ for EU shipping is too much, pushing the price to 25$.
I like the deck, tuck and Piff's show (Fool us!), but can't make with that price.
Best of luck, though!

Thank you all. This is my 4th Kickstarter for a deck of playing card and unfortunately the international shipping has always been the deal breaker for some. In the past I've always packed and shipped each reward myself in between a full time job, costing me my time and a longer waiting period for backers but passing on the savings to the backers. Unfortunately I simply do not have the ability to pack and ship these decks myself this time and for that reason I've asked my friends at Art of Play to fulfill orders, they agreed and kindly gave me a discounted rate.

I wish I could do more for everyone outside of the U.S. but I simply cannot. I know you're all used to these explainations of not being able to provide a better rate but the truth is, it's just plain expensive to ship one deck of cards from the U.S. to another country...usually $13-15 for one deck. On top of that, this is an expensive deck to produce. We are doing two things that are new to playing cards...the tuck box re-designed and re-engineered and the die-cut cards...and we're also printing 5 additional cards to be included with this deck that are separate from the normal run (meaning you won't find those cards on the uncut sheet...it's another whole run of cards).

Those to back the project for a deck will be very happy with the final product, I wish shipping wasn't a deal breaker but I have no control over the actual costs to ship items between countries.

Many thanks to you all regardless if you've supported the deck or not. Your interest alone means a lot!

I noticed that you have these listed under "product design". Perhaps you could list them under "playing cards" for at least part of the campaign so playing card lovers can find them more easily. I never would have looked under "product design" so I never would have found them if it hadn't been for UC.

I really like Piff and think the cards are great. They are a little pricey but how many tuck boxes come with their own stand? Still cheaper than the original 'tacular. Best of luck to all involved.

Thank you. It was certainly an oversight on my part. This must be a new category Kickstarter recently added since it was not available for my last project.

see_squared - I have to agree with flashcards. It seems you favor "Product Design" You can change it to "Playing Cards" Jackson used to favor "Graphic Design" once. Now, all of his are "Playing Cards" Are these playing cards or a design on playing cards?...

This is true, back in the day with my earlier projects there unfortunately was not an option for "Playing Cards" on Kickstarter, this must have been added earlier this year. I've gone ahead and updated the page so that it's now in the Games/Playing Card category...only seems to make sense. Thank you for the notice.

They added it back around the new year, Chris. It was always part of Design categories before.

see_squared - I see you're at "Playing Cards". That's good. I hope to see a slight up tick in Kicktrag. I also see you're running against this guy named Jackson. It's the summer time. Room for both of you, I guess...

Haha, thanks Sprouts...yes I was happy to see that I was able to change the category while the campaign was running! Jackson and I are good buddies...plenty of room :)
