Alice was a very young girl and here she looks like a teenager or older. She was also usually bewildered, upset or angry. This looks like a walk through the park.

All I can say is that Shane is a damn talented artist. I'm really looking forward to my Cthulhu decks and now getting ready to pledge once those Alice decks go up. This time I'll get in early too as I got very lucky landing one of their "limited" Cthulhu decks when somebody switched pledges. :)

Reminds me of this bit of verse from the 17th Century (I'm paraphrasing a bit):

The lion and the unicorn,
Fighting for the crown,
The lion beat the unicorn
All about the town.

Some got white bread,
And some got brown,
But the lion beat the unicorn
Round about the town.

There are a few variations out there, but I like this one best.

From Wikipedia:
The Lion and the Unicorn are symbols of the United Kingdom. They are, properly speaking, heraldic supporters appearing in the full Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom. The lion stands for England and the unicorn for Scotland. The combination therefore dates back to the 1603 accession of James I of England who was already James VI of Scotland. The traditional legend of enmity between the two heraldic animals is recorded in a nursery rhyme...

Hope there will be more historical references :)

If it's anything like the Cthuhlu deck, it'll be just as successful, if not more... I'm really looking forward to their next deck and whatever cool add-ons they come up with.

Not bad but he has a very aggressive style. It can be good for Cthulhu but for Alice…m-m-m…I don’t know…I think that's really too much. Less aggressive style will be better. Of course I don’t mean Devo’s unicorns

I guess he is inspired by the game more than by the book :)

This is nice and I am in on this one. One issue I have with these type of decks is they are a little to dressy for magic. I find most spectators are only familiar with Bike decks and often think these type of decks are gimmicked. Not that it prevents me from getting them, they go directly into my OCD collection. It is always possible to hand out the deck prior to any effect but I find this sometimes cheapen the effect.

Yikes no early bird, and pricing is pretty darn high :( :( such a pity..

edit: and no way to pledge for more decks to lower per deck cost (a max 2 deck as of now?!? this is gonna hurt them)

Yupp, and they are implying that there will be no add-ons, i have a feeling this isnt gonna make it..

Correct me if im wrong, but it does not take $8 + US shipping ($2??) to ship a single deck out to the world right?!?

That would be correct. Shipping 1 deck internationally would cost about $6.50 including a bubble pouch and a bubble envelope. Shipping to Canada and Mexico, except for CBJ, would be less.

Thanks!

Edited: $10 for a coin that probably nobody really wants is a bit much, wouldn't you say?

Edited 2: You are only getting a partial break on the combined shipping. He is making more money on 2 decks above the dollar back because of the savings he is realizing on shipping.

This deck is absolutely going to make it... I would say in the next few hours... it's already at 28%.

They had one of the most successful KS deck campaigns ever.. and they can lean on those 2200+ backers from the last campaign to make purchase.. which they are.
