I was a victim to the reveal of this deck. In his video comments, many of us asked about his cards - he mentioned the Untied States playing card company.
Brilliant really, I got 100's of hits for misspelled USPC entries and assumed my google was bad. I kept wondering "how have I missed this?"
Well played, sir.

Live now.
Though I had to read the pledge amounts a few times over to figure them out, it looks like this deck is a vehicle for his music?

Yer, thought the pledges looked weird, couldn't understand the large goal amount till I saw the 900 slots on 1 of the pledges. Looks like only 2 decks each as well, no add-ons.

I was just about to pledge until I saw that these will be printed my MPC. Sorry, I cannot wrap my head around the fact that US themed playing cards will be printed in another country.

I am sooo confused by this Kickstarter project. Weird that he combined a new deck, new album and moving expenses. I get he's a musician who also does magic instruction that happens to be moving, but odd to combine it all. However, I actually dig the music and that offsets the price of the deck for me which makes it OK it's an MPC deck for me, especially since it's a newer quality MPC. The deck itself is quirky and kind of abstract anarchist graffiti look to it which is just different enough for me to back. The music is actually good enough and close enough to one of the styles of music I like that I may have backed it alone, but it is really limiting the backers from both perspectives as a result.

Seems suspicious that this suddenly jumped from about $5000 to over $10,000 in the last day or two. That's a large jump from a project that wasn't doing good.

And for some reason the creator hasn't bothered to respond to my email regarding this.

he's had 3 suspicious days where the campaign mysteriously was padded by thousands of dollars
one day $4,306
another day $1,800 and another day $2,317
If this has been "padded" to reach goal by over 5K, I highly doubt anyone is going to see their cards, but I hope I am wrong

It's very interesting looking at the data;
On May 31, the campaign received $4306 with an additional 16 backers on board. This was also the day that add-ons were announced, so some increase was presumably due to this. (Otherwise, it works out over $269 per backer!)
The next day, on June 1st (potentially also having effects of addons - I'm trying to be generous here), as you say increased by $1800 for an additional 11 backers.
However the really unusual day appears to be 5th June, where - after 3 days of very little backer activity, and no updates - $2317 was added for the addition of 5 backers. (or about $463.40 per backer...)
There are 3 pledge levels of $100 or more, they work out - across 21 backers - to be $2445 in pledges (plus shipping and addons) - this doesn't appear to help explain these extraordinary jumps.
Excluding these three days, the average pledge level is approximately $30.55 per backer. I'm smelling fish!

It's been about a year since I was last on this site. Not happy to see that unfounded slander and rumor mongering still permeate the forum. Moderators...you are setting a poor example by participating in this gossipy narrative.

I appreciate the heads up, actually. Most of us have been burned enough times that we are not taking chances with bullshit scam Kickstarters.

So... you're here to respond to any of the genuine questions people (backers or potential backers in many cases) have?
Or, is it just to complain about any criticism?

Moderators are humans too, once you get the tin star you don't have to stop voicing your opinions.
I'm still supporting the deck - but lets not deny the many red flags. That's not gossipy narrative.

If anyone reading this hasn't pulled their pledge because of the all the red flags being raised, I really hope you do so now because not only is he not able to answer any of the concerns or questions raised about this campaign, imagine having a real customer service concern after he's collected your money and having to deal with someone who responds this way? Very immature and unprofessional. Not someone who I ever want to support or give my hard earned money to.

You are completely correct, this attitude doesn't inspire any confidence (in me).
Unfortunately (for anyone considering changing their mind), the deck has completed funding a few hours ago - so he's going to receive $14,658 from the 238 backers (minus charges of course). What happens now, will be interesting to watch.

This deck doesn't look good to go through any trouble or to be ripped off.

I wanted to write a long post about what the red flags are on this project, but nah if you can go to kicktraq and seriously look at the numbers and tell me the trend is perfectly normal and fine, nothing in this world can convince you otherwise

Well, this finally happened, I received my deck today without any problems. A month late, but what isn't these days.
I know you guys don't like these 'self/family funded' projects where a few large donors supply a good amount of the pledges, but it doesn't always mean it's a scam. For me it was worth the $13 risk, especially since it included music I kind of liked and helped out a musician at the same time.

Glad to hear a good story for a change. Still think his indices in his (A-9) and Courts plus the 10 card should line up together. Doesn't matter if they are centered or slightly to the right. The rank and suit should be the same for all the cards.

And how is your deck coming along? Did you get anything produced? No? That's crazy, might be because you spent too much time complaining on Internet forums rather than making something of value.
