The idea is to keep a "draft" feeling. This deck should convey the feeling of a draft or study for a "bigger" work, like the notebook of an artist for a statue.

Avernum is the preview of Dante's Inferno, just like the Christmas Edition of Love is a Smoke has been somehow a preview for the Kickstarter version.

I'm still evaluating the final numbers of this release, they could be 200.

Sorry for my ignorance as I am somewhat of a dinosaur and don't subscribe to the social media sites much...I joined FB about 3 years ago and have used it less than 10 times and not to post, but to only see things friends posted ...that being said, I did go to your Facebook page and saw June 1 whereas you mention July in your last post, so I am more confused than I would normally be on the FB website...also, how do I participate in the FB event, just by inviting myself?

If you are a member of the UnitedCardists group there, I think I sent invitations, but not certain.

In general, someone needs to invite you. If you send me your FB name by Private Message, I will invite you.

The original target was June, but the calendar is quite crowded - especially launches scheduled for the 1st. Having a little insight into this one, "you haven't seen anything yet": even a single card colorized is enough for me to know these will be a superb showing of the artistic talents of yet another member of Riccardo's Passione Team!

If you are not familiar with the user-supported calendar, it's located near the top left of the page and opens a full screen with a month shown at a time.

Yes, you are right the first of June the deck will be revealed, so that you will be able to see it, to like it, to know the prices and so on. On that event will be published also the selling date hope this clarifies the issue.

I will participate with some member of Passione Team in an event in Italy, the 5th of July, to celebrate the 750th anniversary of the birth of Dante Alighieri. And Avernum will be showcased there

My pleasure, Riccardo! For some reason Facebook is a little odd: when I added him, at first, it would not let me send him the invitation.

I just tried again and it worked fine. Probably something to do with synchronization of the server cluster, I suppose? FB has to be running on a monstrous cluster of servers! That is the reason for the "race" condition on KS occasionally allowing an extra person into a limited tier.

Usually, it's not a big problem, but if there is only one of a specific item, it could be!

I have ingres. Maybe Riccardo will let me post a preview of a single color enhanced card? We are still two weeks from the premier, but it is going to be an epic deck!

Well, we are working hard to finish this deck for the first of June, at least the core parts. Let us work 1 week more, and than we will have some time for sharing more sophisticates images.

Another thing.. I tried to invite everyone I know (card related) to the FB event, honestly IDK if it's possible to add yourself without an invitation, anyway, I don't want to leave anyone behind, I'll find the way.

Meanwhile I'm going to share two aces (the main illustation) with you: AoS (Ulysses and Diomedes) and AoD (Cerberus)

Then the actual decks will be in my hands for the first days of July. Right now I'm wondering if doing a pre-sale to book the deck the first of july (then a time is mandatory) or setting another date (and time) for opening the store. It all depends on the work we are doing on the website, sorry about that

Sounds good to me. For some reason I assumed it was going to be a kickstarter campaign even though it was such a limited amount. But you know what they say when you assume things...

Will there be any purchase limits? With only a few hundred available, it would suck if someone came in and bought up the whole inventory right away. Setting a limit, if even for just the first few hours, would help circumvent that.

Sure, there will be a limit. Even if it's a limited edition, I would like people to enjoy our deck anyway. Therefore we are thinking about two versions of Avernum.

1) a limited "regular" edition, each deck numbered AND with hand-made details, let's say 20-22€ each deck with a cap of 2-4 decks.
2) a "superlimited" edition, with some extra stuff I won't disclose, @40-45€
3) the original artwork. 75€ each.
