Looks like only 1000 each, not that USPC even prints runs that low.

Looks like they're wrapping the cards in foil inside the tuck like the Tahoes. Too bad they're reproducing the casino decks instead of the 727 Banknote series. I didn't think there was much of a demand for the casino cards. . .

I think art of play stated that this was a D&D april fools joke, but i dont think anyone would put that much effort into a joke.
That box really looks good, my best guess here is that there will be two versions of this deck, one in a LE box (as pictured) + a normal one that is the same box minus the LE seal and no shiny foil wrapping on the inside.
Love the box, cant say the same about the back design, wish they used another of the banknote series.

The box is most definitely enough to make me want these badly. Can't wait to see pricing/purchasing info.

I'm hoping that these decks can be purchased separately because I see that they are being offered if you purchase the Spring 2015 Variety Box on Friday. It was advertised on their website.
Vintage Aristocrat® Playing Cards by Dan and Dave
And here you thought we were joking. Vintage Aristocrat® Playing Cards really do exist and we can’t wait for you to handle a pack in person. Available this Friday in the all new Spring 2015 Variety Box.
High above 45th & Madison, smoke and Sinatra linger in the air, and a fresh pack of Aristocrats sits patiently atop the marble desk, begging to belong within the pockets of a finely cut suit. Executives, magnates, and gentlemen pass by; all of whom appear to have exceptional taste with regard to their pasteboard.
Printed in Cincinnati within the walls of Bicycle’s original factory, Vintage Aristocrat® playing cards are like nothing you’ve ever handled before and can never be printed again — the printing press no longer exists. These cards were lost in the folds of history — transmuted through the passage of time into something truly special to behold.
Each box is letter-pressed and sealed with the visage of the Vintage Aristocrat. Featuring a sleek foil strip and embossed edges — each deck is as neat as your whisky. Additionally, the rich attention to detail that each deck boasts is some of the finest we’ve ever seen. So come fly with us — to an age when endeavor was king and success was snatched from the breeze.

I'm anxious to see what else will be in that Variety Box. Their Winter Box was crap... I mean
is crap- they haven't even sold out yet!

^^ This. I'd much rather see the Banknote backs instead of the casino backs, which I never cards much for.
Ah well...

I think the part about being printed by old USPCC factory was a joke.

Don't get too excited, i'm sure it's filled with a bunch of decks we already have and probably don't want.
The main selling feature of these decks seems to be that they are the old Cincinnati printed decks. So let me get this straight, they have taken the old Cincinnati decks out of their regular tucks and put them in new special tucks with numbered seals? That is like re-gifting something you don't want except worse since they want you to pay extra for it! Pass for me, I don't care for these tactics.

These tactics don't bother me at all for two reasons:
1. Cincinnati playing cards are (obviously) no longer made so it's kind of a cool way to bring them back from the dead, so to speak.
2. I will probably never open these decks if I end up getting them. Knowing a deck of Cincinnati playing cards is inside is good enough for me!

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of buying a Cincinatti-printed deck? Might as well be MPC if you're not going to open it.

It would seem that way and I have no retort except to say knowing it's in there is good enough for me. I'm like the guy who owns the super expensive car that washes it all the time but doesn't want to drive it because it's too perfect.

If you want those decks, or other Cincinnati decks, they can be found online without having to buy $150 set. Hell I have an old Cincinnati Guardians deck if you want.

Thanks but I think I'm not explaining myself well. I have hundreds of Cincinnati decks- I guess what I'm trying to say is that I like what they did with this set. I'm falling for the gimmick [BACON]

That's right, it's a gimmick, just to make collectors spend a bunch of extra money, buying a bunch of decks we already have. I'm passing and I hope I won't be the only one falling for this.

Surprisingly they are actually selling these individually, at $14.95 each plus overpriced shipping as usual.

Yeah, they lost my interest at that price point. I'd be buying an overpriced tuck box with an undesirable card back. For that I might as well buy the Spring 2015 Variety Box for $124.95 because I don't own any of those decks, but it's not going to happen.

$14.95 for a Cincinatti deck isn't too bad. $18 for shipping 2 decks to Canada is what is bad. Even worse is they only had a limited amount of sets at $24.95 so it will cost a few bucks more unnecessarily.

Oh yeah I forgot about shipping costs too. I did notice the sets that sold out. I disagreed with that so I guess I won't be buying anything from them again.
Wow just noticed they are
ALL sold out. WOW!

These (well, the blue version) are now available here:
http://shop.dananddave.com/playing-card ... y-box.html. $125 plus shipping.
EDIT: Why just the blue version you ask?
each box features a curated selection of playing cards with a color palette specifically selected to compliment the hues of the season.
Wow, what marketing.

Very cool box, that's funny how the content barely fit inside, they look like they are going to implode

Only complaint about the tuck is that there is no a thumb slot at the top like most others do, whats up with that?

Yeah the cards are a very tight fit. You can see very very small tears already starting to form on the tuck on the corners, at least my decks look like that, which is a bit disappointing. Also, don't do what I did and stack the decks on top of each other because the colors will rub off on each other.
