Tobeytown Chess Playing Cards - KS

Unread post by Eoghann »

It's a clever idea on paper. But in practice sounds like a huge mess with marking the chessboard using cards.

The deck donation sounds nice, but I'm not sure the math is right. Sounds like we're helping with half of the print run and the rest is out of his pocket to donate.

Someone else already came up with this idea a year ago!

If these were made a year ago, they are a bit more clearer. I guess if you lose pieces you can flip the card and make more of the chess board with the back of card. I like the way the suit in the indices is up side down. It's like hanging jesus on the cross up side down. Ohh, that is so bad. :?  I also notice the images extend to the cut border. I guess you can't play poker with this deck. I guess with this deck you can only play chess.

I noticed the Bishop is diagonal. Why? Does it look to much like a Pawn?

It wasn't this exact deck but the same concept, that was eventually funded through Roma Kotiv.

I like the illustrations but I won't be playing chess with them. Starred for now since no double deck early birds.
