Erik is waiting - like every other artist who has tried to coordinate two companies - for his last project to be ready to fulfill, but he's already working on what's next, and for him it is a change in many ways: "BUSKERS".

Very interested. I don't own any Mana decks and dropped the Sybil campaign completely. But these just might be a theme I'd get. Looking forward to seeing more.

Picked up the first deck out of curiosity and thought the art was very well done, quality excellent. Totally disliked the second outing but dove in deep on the last. This is an interesting departure, can't wait to see more.

I see a "No.1" near the top of the tuckbox, another series perhaps? [emoji1]

I am impressed so far, I'm a sucker for a nice full bleed back design. Happy to see its USPCC. Now let's see some court cards.

I like the diptych but I'm not sure how I feel about the back. I agree full bleed is nice but it's really standard.

I like what i see.
If this is a deck made for street magicians/performers then this should be priced reasonable. i highly doubt that any street performer would use anything other thats priced more then a pack of bicycle rider backs for $2-$3.
well...lets see where this will go

The diptych has a Pixar short film air to it. I like it.

I highly doubt they'll be priced at street magician levels considering what I've seen so far. They appear to be fully custom, highlighting street performers in general. Not just magicians.

Eriik Mana's "Buskers" deck - further information, directly from his KS campaign project release that he authorized me to post today.
Details of the deck:
- USPCC production
- Hand illustrated court cards, jokers and diptych.
- Borderless back design – simple but intricate. When you look closer, you will see its true composition
- Vintage theme
- Air Cushion Finish
- Two colors – Sol (light) and Luna (dark)
- Special diptych included
Theme & Inspiration
I was once a busker early in my magic career. I fell in love with the culture and the people. The Busker deck wass created in honor of all the amazing street artists that perform all over the world. Each court card represents a particular type of busker from the magician, juggler, musician, mime, contortionist, and many others.
Kickstarter Info:
Launch Feb. 21, 10am EST
There will be stretch goals, special add ons including a link to Teespring for tshirt purchases.
The conversation starts here on UC, and the KS campaign tracker will be added once the campaign launches.

I love decks like this that have so much personal history and so many stories behind them. Erik was kind enough to share some of his experiences from his time busking at festivals across Eastern Canada and discuss the part of his life that influenced this deck. His stories really are fascinating and I have posted them on my blog here for you guys to check out if you're interested.

See there's the difference buying it outside the USA. Even if buying a full brick of standard bikes from amazon the price per deck is anywhere from $5 to $10 each (brick price with delivery, and I live close to the city, if your further out it could be much, much more).
A local store here is one of the few that sells Bikes at all. Everyone else sells absolutely terrible local (china) made cards and thats it. The retail store here was selling bikes for $20 each.
So it suddenly becomes much easier for us to be using these kinds of decks every day. Buying a brick of something like this is only slightly dearer for us in many cases.

In my german magic shops i do pay 2,50€ for a regular rider back deck (about USD $2.80) and if i take the Bicycle Seconds Rider Backs i pay 1.50€ (approx. USD $1.80).
May i suggest this offer?

And even these although reasonable are $50 USD including the shipping. Then add on that the Aussie dollar is slipping every day more. Currently this is over $60 AUD.
I do buy them. Especially when they are on special. I have over 40 of them here ready to go.
I was just illustrating the point that from the great southern land, Its not that much extra to "upgrade" from a standard bike deck, to a premium, pretty one, kickstarted or premium printed. And sometimes I can actually get some premium cards cheaper than that, especially if its a reasonable kickstarter or Conjuring Arts is having a special.

Seems like the main (only) difference between Sol and Luna is the backs. I was thinking it would be pretty cool to have buskers divided by time of day as indicated by the backs. Like fire dancing, fire breathing for nighttime.
Some performances just have much more impact during certain times of day.
