Hi everyone,
I have browsed this site for a little bit now and decided to join up. I have been collecting cards for a little while over a year now. I have a collection of about 35 different decks, along with some poker chips and coins. I am currently living in Seoul, South Korea (I am in the military) which makes card hunting a little more difficult. I enjoy going to brick and mortar stores to hunt for decks. I find a lot of enjoyment in the search and finding of new decks, that more than likely comes from another collection I have, antique Coke products. There is nothing more I like to do on the weekends more than visiting antique stores and thrift shops.

Re: New Collector
Hey Tanner,
Welcome to UC (officially)! Thanks for coming out of the lurking shadows. It's definitely fun to come across a rarity in real B&M stores. Are you a vintage deck collector, or more into the new stuff? Either way, it's easy and addicting to start stacking up the decks. Beware, this is a self-help group for addicts that don't want to be cured...

Re: New Collector
I started out collecting the newer decks, was mainly focused on awesome artwork with the Bicycle brand. Now if it is a new deck I am looking for all original artwork for the court cards and hopefully custom pips. I am browsing around looking at vintage decks, but I would rather come across those while out searching in the stores, looking on-line just take away some luster for me when hunting older items.
