smooth finish
cello wrapped tuck box
56 poker sized cards
Designed by Best Made in New York, printed in Erlanger, Kentucky by the United States Playing Card Company (legendary makers of the Bicycle and Bee brands). We enlarged the numbers and symbols, streamlined the face cards to geometric bliss, added some lightning bolts or two, and above all we gave our cards the much needed whitespace and breathing room for your eyes (so you can play by the glow of a campfire). Re: Best Made Co. playing cards
They have some interesting ideas there, but that horribly one way back kills it for me. They could have made that so nicely 2 way by maintaining their logo in the center, reducing the size of the logotype and text content and just duplicating that to the other side. Duh.

I'm not really too sure about that lightning bolt imagery... it seems a bit, hmm, unfortunate.

Re: Best Made Co. playing cards
Overall, it appeals to me . The one-way back isn't to my linking, but a borderless card won't make it into my magic rep anyway. I like the quirky faces emough to get some. Shipping to the UK might be high, but even shipping in the U.S. is painful. $10.10 to ship 4 decks, and I'm just a 3-hour drive away. UPS is just way too expensive for low-cost items.
Re: Best Made Co. playing cards
I went ahead and pick a few up anyways... It'll definitely be collectible down the road once they stop selling them. Plus they don't look too shoddy, compared to some of the crap in KickStarter lately...
Re: Best Made Co. playing cards
Cost me $10 to ship one $8 deck.
I can see why D&D like them.
It's so depressing when you want to support good companies that choose to rape you with shipping.

No matter where you go... there you are :|
Re: Best Made Co. playing cards
I like the simple design, but with so many decks coming out lately, I'm going to pass on these.

Yeah, I initially was just going to do 1, but instead I went and got 3 since it was $10 shipping...Sharpie wrote:Cost me $10 to ship one $8 deck.

Since I'm getting 3 of them, I might sell of the two extra (and I won't rape people on shipping).
We'll see once I get them in. But I agree, I'm sick of seeing $10+ for shipping a friggin deck...
It cost me $4 something to send a single deck to Chicago from Seattle in a Bubble wrap package... so this $10 is a profit grab.
Not a good way to keep customers, but businesses seem to be fine with that...
