I kinda like this deck. But those courts are microscopic.

Quick, easy pass. Just not my taste.

Reminds me of a cross between Good/Evil and the Castle & Kingdom decks. It breaks so many rules, but I kinda like the consistency and at war concept, it's different and fun artwork. Totally non-functional though. Agree about the tiny courts, needs some work there. I jumped in on EB though.

Wayyy too small for the courts, that back design is the weakest link here as well, wont be in but there is potential here, a couple of tweaks like not having all the suits red and the enlarging of the courts + reworking the back would make the deck much much better

The back design is my most concern. It´s one way and looks just copy pasted the front of the tuck design on to the back of those cards.
I like the courts and the number cards...why? It´s different and the art is nice. Also there is plenty of white space...which means a magician has a lot of writing space for signed card effects
The signature shows up better on those and the cards look more "special" then a regular designed playing card. It makes a nice souvenir to give away after your performance. Just my opinion as a magician

Got to have eagle eyes to play with these cards! To many things wrong to warrant a review. Enough said...

Waaaay too much white space. Could have potential as a theme but not as is.

I wouldn't say it is entirely, but if you feel like you can thank someone for posting/saying something then it should be alright to use it as a "Like". I think that distinction should prevent an abundance of Thanks to posts that are just trying to be funny or attention-grabbing. We haven't really had a discussion about this, so I'll let my fellow mods chime in if they want to add their own thoughts.
On topic, I think this deck is alright but it's not done properly. One-way back (with huge borders), miniscule semi-repeating courts and a rather flat color scheme throughout (the red is nice, but a deck needs more than 1 color IMO). Plus the theme isn't exactly ground-breaking

Too many decks on KS once again, this one is an easy pass!

It's back -

Some EBs, $8 shipped anywhere. Using MPC this time, but no improvements to cards. If they would at least make the images larger and less white space...

Personally I'm only using the Thank to actually Thank people. Means you don't have to post just to say thanks, but it will still add emphasis to what you are thanking them for. If someone said something funny and it added a lift to your day then Thanks could be in order there too, so I guess it does come off as a like. I don't use other social media, like FB, much so the like thing isn't automatic for me.

At this point, I can't say I'm surprised at this response:
Thank you for your suggestions. Our main artist did not want to make any changes.
Such a shame. This deck had potential.

Yeah the theme of the deck is great the rest is terribly executed. Just imagine if Jackson Robinson did a deck based on kingdoms and empires. Any other artist could make this deck work very well but it seems the artist with this deck is too lazy to even bother trying to make changes. It looks like a kid did the art imo, very basic.

Agree. I'm willing to live with the problems for the price since I really like the theme and style, but looks like a case of stubborn artist who doesn't have business sense. It's really amazing to me that these are only $8 shipped and just a $3k goal, yet it very likely won't make funding. Yeah, it's MPC, but I thought for sure they would make a few changes and with the lower goal and great EBs be able to pull it off. That white space is horrendous, this is not a magazine ad guys, it's a card. MAKE THEM BIGGER. Apparently that must bother so many others even more than it bothers me though since they are staying away.
BTW - Somebody should update the OP for the proper URL and Kickup (it's still showing the original one):

Self/family funded? This actually magically made the goal today. I had given up on this one. Kind of too bad it funded, was hoping if it failed they would finally listen and make changes. Oh well, it's neat enough, looking forward to it.

Maybe someone sampling too much of his other KS project which is still funding?

Wow, those "rewards" are literally laugh-out-loud ridiculous...
$50 for an empty bottle and a cliched margarita glass???
I wouldn't have touched this deck project with a 10 foot pole, even before the suspicious "funding". Now, having seen the "business sense" that went into this project, it's more like a 100-ft pole....
Now I'm just curious to see what happens with his $5 underwear project...

@th4mo - Damit you make me look at his underwear project. Has the survey been sent out or not?

I received my deck today...
While I'm glad it was funded, even if that meant going with MPC, the result is less than ideal. He apparently went with the basic MPC stock/finish that is glossy instead of their new linen, although I'm not expert at MPC. The tuck also was just folded together with no glue so pretty much came apart (I just used double sided tape). The shipping packaging was dead simple too, just tossed into a large manilla envelope with no padding or wrap. Somehow mine came through without being damaged too bad, just a minor corner and edge ding.
The art also wasn't changed so many are too small and the pips are still all red. On the plus side, I really liked the art and design overall and many of these shortcuts were what allowed it to be created and the price was pretty cheap so mixed feelings.
Also, added to PCDB -

...because... everyone on this list has shown over and over again that we all have exactly the same taste? Because we all agree on what designs are captivating?
For what it's worth, let me introduce you to my favorite Russian idiom: на вкус и цвет, товарищи нет.
(Pronounced: "Na vskoos ee tsvyet, tovarishchee nyet." Lots of Russian idioms rhyme like that.)
Literally: In matters of taste and color, there are no comrades.
