Songs of Innocence Playing Cards - all feedback welcome!

Hi everybody!

We've been wanting to design a deck inspired by the stories and characters in William Blake's Songs of Innocence. We love his poetry, and have begun to design some cards around the tone and themes of Songs of Innocence.

The current concept we're playing around with is to make fairly simple court cards, inspired by characters from his poetry. We're thinking of doing the artwork all by hand. We'll use block printing to print black ink outlines (as Blake did with his poetry) and then paint using bright watercolors (also like Blake). We were thinking that each suit would depict one of Blake's four classes of society; the state (diamonds), the church (hearts), the masses (clubs), and the philosophers/thinkers/artisans (spades).

Here are some renders for a Jack, Queen and King from the deck. These are drafts, mind you, but they should give a pretty good idea of what we're going for.

Any feedback on concept, art technique, specifics within the drafts below, etc. is welcome! Thanks for your time!

I like the classic feel to it but I'm also not familiar with William Blake or Songs of Innocence. But if it's a good deck then it's a good deck.

The style is interesting in itself but I cannot see the connection to Blake's world. Since Blake was a painter too, one would expect a style approaching this aspect as well. But if you disconnect it from Blake, it's a nice deck.
