What does everyone think of this? I think it's ridiculous and when I buy decks, I want the original thing, not somebody else's seal stuck on it, especially if it involves removing the original cello and seals!

That is really crap. I would be pissed if I didn't have the original seal, much less the cellophane already taken off! That is very irritating for collectors!

Seriously! What ARE they thinking?

It seems like I remember getting a deck from "1EyedJack" like this and I never ordered from them again. I mean - MAYBE put their seal OVER the cellophane (and that's a MAYBE).

I've never had anything like this from the1eyedjack, aside from his own Collector 52 deck, which is a totally different case.

(neophyte question : don't hit please !)

I don't see where is the problem : they only change the seal... Is it bad for collecting ?

As a collector, I like to keep most of my decks sealed in their original cellophane. However, if I was to order a deck of Art of Play, it would be unsealed because they had to apply their own custom seal to the deck by removing the original cellophane. Not to mention, it is no longer the "original" deck, because it does not have its original seal. It loses collector value.

This is an extreme example, but it's like if someone took a sealed Jerrys, took off the wrap, took off the seal, and replaced it with a sticker that says "ART OF PLAY", and then sell it for the same price (or more).

While the seals themselves are really nice, why not apply them to their own custom decks instead??? To me, this is almost like vandalism. If I bought a Federal 52 from them, and it came with no cellophane, I'd be pretty pissed. I hope they thought this through and made these custom seals optional instead of mandatory.

Lol yeah. Looks like it's Black Madison Rounders & Black Madison Dealers, both originally from Ellusionist, not Art of Play.

That's ridiculous. When I buy I trust I'm the first one to handle the deck. Not only have they detroyed the deck's originality and value but they're also violating my trust as a consumer. Doubt I'll be purchasing from them...

Anything D$D is involved with is sketchy! Are they so narcissistic that they actually believe people will value their custom deck seal over the original seal? For all we know, they are simply rebadging opened decks that have been handled already. The pretentious and presumptuous Bucks have had their identical butt holes massaged by the lips of mindless fanboys so long they think they are gods who can get away with anything.

According to the comments on the picture on their Instagram account, they're giving away the seals for free but not actually applying them to the decks they sell.

Huh, that's pretty cool of them. I wonder if the seals are a promotional thing (free with every purchase), or a test run for something in the future...
