Re: Bicycle Starlight Playing Cards (KS) (wap)
When did wild, crazy colors thrown together become artwork on a card? Do they glow in the dark or are they bright like that? Lol.

Re: Bicycle Starlight Playing Cards (KS)
I actually don't mind a lot of this deck. Heck, I even like the back and the bright green, but the fact that all suits are the same color makes this a pass for me. If they can fix that, I'd probably go in on this. $20 for 2 decks is pretty reasonable.
Re: Bicycle Starlight Playing Cards (KS)
As per the comments section, no it doesn't glow in the dark, just has a glow look to it. They tried UV apparently and didn't like it.

Re: Bicycle Starlight Playing Cards (KS)
The front is great. I like the neon greens and the starry backgrounds. Pips are neat too. But what the heck is up with the back? Looks like they're riding on the full-bleed bandwagon, but not executing it well enough. Not to mention it doesn't jive with the fronts...

Re: Bicycle Starlight Playing Cards (KS)
Honestly, I don't care for them...unless the glow in the dark option was available. Then I might be interested. The back is terrible though.

Re: Bicycle Starlight Playing Cards (KS)
I'm really on the fence with these. The backs look ok but too colorful. These will be a little hard for other people to play with. If I would of got the $9 EB, that would've been good but for $11 now I would have to think.

I really liked and backed the Bicycle Limited Edition Elegance. But I'm going to pass on this one. I can't imagine playing poker with these.

Re: Bicycle Starlight Playing Cards (KS)
I'm in for an early bird. I like them, I kind of don't like that they're all green. But I have a friend who DIGS green so these will be a Christmas present.
And I'm one of those people who were slightly disappointed they didn't glow.

If i were to start a KS campaign, i would need the mailing list collectable playing cards has, their customer base seems to buy everything you throw at them.

Re: Bicycle Starlight Playing Cards (KS)
I like the front and the back, but not so much together.
If the back was just the stars without the hyperspace swirls (you can kind of see them underneath), with the current front I'd be more inclined to get one.
Likewise, I think that the back could be pretty good if the fronts were matched to it a bit better.
Perhaps something like this

Re: Bicycle Starlight Playing Cards (KS) (wap)
Im not saying this is a bad deck but come on. Do these people even look at the decks anymore or just pledge b/c it's a CPC project?

Re: Bicycle Starlight Playing Cards (KS)
"We will not be changing the suit colors. We prefer to stick with the glowing look of the cards without adding any other colors to the faces." - from the comments section. Have to say I'm very disappointed that they are not listening to existing and potential backers on this. While they seem to have built enough of a following that it wont affect them from being able to get funding, they've at least lost me as a potential backer on this and probably any future projects.

Re: Bicycle Starlight Playing Cards (KS)
Wouldn't have backed this anyway, but not making the suits different colors is just silly.
