The LIMITED EDITION PRO XCM PASSION DECK - Coming this summer. Purple and black, twin tip mirror back design on backs, purple and white twin tip mirror back on faces. This deck is one of the only decks in the world that will allow the fronts and backs of the deck to look like a back design, with, or without a cover card! you can also get indice pip fans in the priority position. Comes with 2 cover cards, and a Viper/Passion double backer. I do like purple, but these doesn't look like they'll pop nearly as well as the red and green ones did.

I got 2 of the Green ones, and I liked them until they ran outta steam... after a few days of handling, I can't even thumbfan them evenly now. They just clump

This is an easy pass for me. Recolors are fine, there's too much coming out this year that's worth more of my time and money. I wish they did something different with each of their new Pro XCM decks. Keep the whole theme/style of dual priority, but change the graphics?

Completely agree. It wouldn't need big changes to make each more interesting and separate them from each other.

Nope, probably not just your "pudgy" hands. My hands are well suited to cardistry/magic. They're always dry and never sweaty (at least, not when I handle the cards). Only thing is, they're tiny lol. They're comparable to a 11-12 year old's hands.

I'm interested to see how this new stock is from the USPCC that is supposed to have better snap, which means it should be stiffer. I'm kind of suspecting that this might just be hype, but I hope its actually a new stock option.

If any card co. out there is going to tell the truth about stock I feel like it's these guys. De'vo is a serious flourisher so I would trust his word on how a deck handles. But we will see....

Sure, buddy! I was thinking exactly the same thing: I don't really need 6, but I got them exactly for that reason. Which Vipers - the UV500 ones? (or am I thinking wrong there?) I'm thinking we might do 3 for 3 but not necessarily the same 3 from you? Name your toys for me (by PM, I supposed - no reason to hog this thread).

By the way, since I _am_ back on topic, why do these get a free pass when they are just another recolor, instead of viciously attacked as the obvious money grab that they are?

The Vipers he's talking about are the green Pro XCM decks, the second in the series. The first was the original red Dominion Pro XCM (which are selling for a surprisingly high amount in the secondary market), and these purple Passion Pro XCMs are the third in the series.

I think these decks are getting a pass because De' Vo isn't a big enough player to draw that much scrutiny. He's actually been pretty good about marketing and not over-hyping his decks (which is a bit surprising given his whole dark lord schtick), and he puts out solid decks, especially for cardists. He's probably one of the very few deck producers who puts a big emphasis on stock and finish, and his designs are geared for flourishing and fanning. This deck, or the hilarious Angry Pussies deck should probably win Best Fanning Deck of the Year.

These are also on a new stock from USPCC... in fact, they might be the first of their kind. I could be wrong though.

Other than that, yeah, seems like a money grab. Then again, what recolor ISN'T a money grab?

Regardless, I got a brick of these. 6 going to a local collector, 2 for my personal collection, 4 going out for resale/trade. I wasn't going to get these, but as a noob cardist, I am intrigued by the new stock.
