EDIT: Sideways tuck? Looks like they're going with EPCC? Looks like EPCC is on a roll. So far EPCC has had orders from: Paul Carpenter (Zenith), Jackson Robinson (Hive), The Blue Crown (NOC), Nat Iwata (Cthulhu Resurrection), and now 4PM Designs. Also, Aquila is with LPCC, but same factory, right?

Wow, these are beautiful. Are we limited in how many we pick up?

I have no idea. I guess that depends on how they structure their pledges.

The back looks good. Only 900 available. Im guessing there will be a nice pricetag.

Or they might have a variety of add-ons to convince us to buy their stuff. But it should be similar to Zenith in pricing right, maybe $25.00? I'm just hoping they don't have indices in all four corners again.

By nice, I hope you mean reasonable. If these are indeed going to be made by EPCC, they're known to be much cheaper than USPCC, so I hope they don't charge too much... even if it's limited edition.

Also, is the Latin right on this? Shouldn't it be Tenebrae?

*EDIT* Just kidding, makes more sense that it's Italian. Anybody think they'll come out with other versions?

They'll be a good time for me (if I like them).

It might not be that bad. Just looked at their legacy campaign and saw the black deck was limited to 500 and they were only asking 17.

Shh... Don't give them ideas! I mean about the price... I hope it's not $25. Zenith was $20, but it has holographic foil and custom numbered seals... Is the red on the back metallic ink? Is there foiling on the tuck or any other embellishments?

Who's signature do we get with the "Signature Edition"?

Full bleed is kicking ass lately! These will play nicely with my De'Vo Dominions. :)

I'm a sucker for full bleed backs, even though they wear out with use. I'm definitely getting these :3

Are full bleed backs the new zombies/Cthulu/minimalist trend???

I'm surprised people have borders in the first place.

I like it! I've already got it on my calendar so I don't end up picking through the dregs. 900 decks is not a whole lot!

Yeah, I had set my phone alarm to remind me when Legacy went live, so I could get early specials on that one. That didn't turn out so well.

The backs do look nice. Need to see more. And the price will matter. $20 for Zenith? Deal me in. $17 for the Black Legacy? Struck me as a bit rich. I'll pick up a couple if the faces look good and the price is right. But... I don't think these will likely grab me the way Zenith did.

Not crazy over these, it looks like something devo would do, not that it's bad, just not to my liking.

Unless you're doing something crazy with the tuck box, there's no reason for EPCC decks costing more than the USPCC, unless the designer is trying to over-bloat their profit margin.

TÉNÈBRES ! The word has always an "S" in french ! A la rigueur, you could forget the accentuation : you use upper case letters ;-)

That's actually correct: in Italian that would be "Darkness, Dark or Gloom" depending upon context. Did everyone miss the "Rosso" (Italian name - likely designer, maybe) on the end flap?

Frankly, they look nice, as do many of the recent full bleed decks we've seen, but I have to agree that unless they are doing something extraordinary with the tucks they should be able to take advantage of EPCC's lower costs overall for both the decks themselves and the fancy tuck boxes. We'll see - if they are 'pricey', think about how much Paul charged for Zenith: $20, right? Same deal, same count, same maker. If they are far away from that amount then they are just padding their wallets. Obviously Paul didn't sell them too cheaply to make a good profit on them, or he would have been wasting his time, and I think you can count on the fact that he definitely didn't do them just to make us all smile, although that clearly entered into the pricing structure because in my mind he could have easily gone to $25 or $30 and nobody would have thought twice about it.

It also says "red" on the bottom, which makes me hope future colors will come out.

True, I was thinking surname, but it could easily be the red version - how many more can we expect to endure?

Remember that no matter what company you print with, volume = discounts.

We used to see these "add on" type of decks that were in limited numbers, but they usually were connected to an overall larger project so the total volume was still there. If you are only printing 1000 decks total, the costs rise just like any other printer and you still have to pay the fixed costs like printing plate setup.

So Zenith, for example, was not at all cheap to make. However, compared to USPCC it was less costly of a project IN TOTAL because they allowed me to print just the 1000. If I wanted to do the same with USPCC, I essentially would have had to print 2,500 and then only sell the 1000 and trash the rest. Which, of course, would be silly. :)

So in summary, don't think of EPCC as "cheap," think of it as flexible and allowing for small runs without the giant penalties. So I think you'll see more projects like this, as you can do the smaller runs more easily (i.e. I could pay for the entire production with revenue from my other projects). That said, not sure why this needs to be a Kickstarter after 4PM has had so many successful projects...

There certainly is no excuse for them to rape our wallets unless they are simply taking advantage of us, because Paul just did it for $20 per deck with an almost identical set of features and number of decks - from the same source.

And Paul had foil everywhere, I can't tell if these have foil or not.
