Yes it's true, a new Rounders deck coming soon and it's White! Also coming soon Madison Gamblers which are apparently a Dealers/Rounders Gaff deck, not sure why a card cheater needs a gaff deck? And also coming Madison Kings I guess it's being called. The Madison parade of cards continues folks!

Edit: added in pics, V

FWIW, I'm not seeing the pic, either.

So... is Madison Kings going to be a new concept, or another riff off of rounders/players/dealers?

The picture does not work, if I right click it and click "open in new tab" it takes me to a 404 page on tineye.com

I think Daniel and Ace should team up and release a thousand decks together! In every color. Spanned out over 2 years. Each release more "limited" than the last.

BTW I love the new emoticon of the drooling face but it's times like this I wish there were one blowing his brains out. Can we work on that?

I'm not sure our graphics department's budget is big enough for special effects like that, but that would be very fitting on a lot of threads here

maybe we could utilise this emoticon:

not sure if you can pluck a gif off a website and use it.. would be perfect for what was described.

I just saw some pictures of it on Facebook and thought to myself: "This thing is going to get so much hate on UC, I've got to see that" :D

On another note: I like Rounders (I have the black and the brown ones) as long as they are reasonably priced, which is why I didn't get the blue and red ones. If these aren't limited, I might get one or two. If they are, I'll pass.

For me it's not so much that I hate them, but one or maybe two would have been enough. Then it gets to be insulting. Why flood the market with more of the same when there's so much room for creativity?

Because there's also room in the market to support more of the same. QED.

Frankly, I can't blame the folks who do this for doing it. They are running a business, and when they are rewarded for making these kinds of decisions, why *wouldn't* they go back to the well? In the meantime, they also still innovate, too.

Don't get me wrong; I'm very frustrated with E and some of their peers for a number of reasons, but selling the customers what they want to buy isn't one of them.

That said, I'm likewise voting with my dollars. As noted above, if these are released at a reasonable price, I'll likely pick up a deck or two (and if they're "limited" and pricey, I'll pass), but when they (and others) release something new / more interesting to me, I'll likely pick up much more than a deck or two. I truly liked E's Republic No. 2, for example, and the first couple releases of Artifice before that.

My thoughts exactly. Just because a deck doesn't have tons of effort put into it doesn't make the product itself bad. Selling recolored decks for an abnormal price because it's "limited" sucks, but that'S a hole other story.

It's all personal preference. I like unique decks and these lost that a long time ago. If I were into magic or cardistry I would feel totally different, looking for characteristics that fit those genres of collecting.

I'd pick up a few decks if they were sub $5. But that's not likely going to happen. They're definitely not a a >$8 deck.

http://www.ellusionist.com/madison-whit ... -deck.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Every journey must eventually reach its pinnacle, and the White Edition marks the ultimate mark of the journey for Madison Rounders. A deck of pure contrast - angelic and pure white backs that belie the serious intentions of the gambler’s hand.

From the initial release of the very first decks of Rounders - shipped to all of our Black Club Members (with a personal note from Daniel) for comment before they were even released, through to Daniel’s personal stock of Reds, the homage to Brown Wynns and the Christmas gifts of the Rare Blue Rounders... the deck has been used and loved by so many top professionals that we felt the last in the series needed a full acknowledgement to honor in its design.

No expense was spared in the production of the final edition of Rounders, giving the iconic classic the respect and completion it deserved. We demanded the finest stock that USPC could source, a thicker, luxury linen tuck box and precision foiling - a first for Rounders decks.

Pick up the final deck in the Rounders series today.

A NOTE TO YOU FROM DANIEL MADISON

I’m always amazed at how iconic the Rounders have become and wanted to pay tribute to that in the final edition of this deck.

Rounders are recognizable by their backs alone, so I wanted the box to reflect this; by only printing the back design on the box to allow the design speak for itself.

I have always felt that any card box needs little attention as it's just the covering for the deck inside, so I have always kept mine simple, and although I paid a lot more attention to the box on this one, I kept to the same beliefs. The beauty is inside. I always lean to difference and risk in the marketplace, and never more so than with this deck. It could not be more simple than inverting the original Rounders.

One thing I am glad to have achieved with this, is that although the design couldn’t be more minimal, the deck does resemble a borderless design, and as this is white, I hope that it finds its place in the gamblers hands as well as the magician.

You touched upon something I haden't thought of- if E is making a good amount of money off this series (and let's assume they are), then I don't fault them one bit. I commend them. I guess I was going off the assumption that they're not a popular item. Having said all that, I do like these and I own a few others. But for some reason I can't seem to shake this soft-spot I have for E because the Black Tiger was the first custom deck I ever owned. Sentimentality is expensive!

Heh heh. They're already sitting around the card table coming up with a new name for the next multi-deck series. What will it be? Clippers? Rippers? Tippers? Clappers? Tappers? Nappers? Maddies? Baddies? Caddies?

I get the jimmies just thinking about it.

 as Sam Pekinpah would say, "crackin' walnuts with his ass." Hey, these are nice clean cards, but earth shattering? No. Bombastic? No. Pushing the envelope? No. And iconic? No.

Lol! This is basically a simplified Players deck. The one unique thing about the Madison decks is the cross-over from T11 to E.

After the Players I never saw need to buy any of the others. Try as I might, can't make myself think any of the afters looks as good.
