I'm not sure if this is w.imps v2, I've seen somewhere about a black w.imps perhaps that's v2. And in any case isn't v1 already catered for a card player with the old standard courts ?MagikFingerz wrote:To quote what Chris said in an earlier post: "Imps v.2 is designed for the card player."volantangel wrote:Oh god, why has it taken this direction ??
Oh yeah, I guess this might be a different deck. And no, V1 was designed for magicians.volantangel wrote:I'm not sure if this is w.imps v2, I've seen somewhere about a black w.imps perhaps that's v2. Oh yea its for magicians, my bad. I just hope that "designed for the card player" doesnt become another phrase for standard courts and boring back.MagikFingerz wrote:Oh yeah, I guess this might be a different deck. I don't mind established deck designers having a "standard" deck as part of their product line, like the one above or Jackson's simple Kings Wild deck (whatever happened to that?). Though certainly I won't expect those to be on kickstarter or hyped in any way.volantangel wrote:I just hope that "designed for the card player" doesnt become another phrase for standard courts and boring back.
Jackson's kings wild deck has his very own take on the court cards that are downright gorgeous (YES WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT ?!), hopefully that would become a long-running staple, less premium deck that he offers.MagikFingerz wrote:I don't mind established deck designers having a "standard" deck as part of their product line, like the one above or Jackson's simple Kings Wild deck (whatever happened to that?). Oh definitely, im just being wary of the trend, really hoping for the deck to surprise me with a sucker punch =) I think ive dug the grave deep enough, but i wont put anyone in it justtt yet.MagikFingerz wrote:Well, all we have so far are two teaser pics that aren't even from the deck's creator. Should probably hold off on bringing out the gavel just yet
Well, we're planning aiming for the LUXX deck to be primarily for home card game players and the like, and yes - they're pretty traditional courts and pips - though I wouldn't say boring.volantangel wrote:

I would have agreed with you 100% about that KS comment a few months back, but now - as much as I would prefer to fund away from that platform - we (as a small business in the little ol' UK) HOPEFULLY wouldn't be able to meet the demand without a project on there. I say hopefully as no one likes to count chickens! That being said, we've been able to take care of a few of the costs already, so we're expecting to reduce the goal somewhat.MagikFingerz wrote: I don't mind established deck designers having a "standard" deck as part of their product line, like the one above or Jackson's simple Kings Wild deck (whatever happened to that?). Does look good in black, have to say.montecarlojoe wrote:Teaser image of possible Black imps...
Well the LUXX deck's back design isnt just a plastered logo is it ? All im saying is that is there really a need for another deck like this, since there are already so many out there. Between colour changes and "minimalist" back designs, i really dont wish to see Chris turning into Ellusionist.JPMiddleton wrote:Well, we're planning aiming for the LUXX deck to be primarily for home card game players and the like, and yes - they're pretty traditional courts and pips - though I wouldn't say boring.volantangel wrote:

Howdy Chris is one of them going to be the deck you talked about doing in the KS, that has the imps through-out the decksee_squared wrote:Currently, I have planned a series of 3 deck designs under the Whispering Imps™ brand, all intended to be released this year and all 3 designs very different. If it wasn't for the incredible support of those who backed the first project, this would never have been possible so thank you to those who supported!

Other than that one picture on his website that he's had up for a couple of months ago, it's the one thing that I really hope we see "really soon now" from Chris!wahl0108 wrote:That would be great! One year ago I launched a Kickstarter to produce the Whispering Imps playing cards and to celebrate, the "Black Editions" will be available for Pre-Order TOMORROW - June 1, 2014.
New Playing Card Features:
• Thinner Borders
• Recolored Court Cards (enhanced with Metallic Silver inks)
• Ace of Spades enhanced for the “Black Edition”
• Double Backer
• NEW Gaff Card (with new reveals)
• Recolored Jokers (Imp Red & Metallic Silver)
New Tuck Box Features:
The “Black Edition” tuck combines elements from both Original & Special Edition Tuck Boxes. It looks similar to the Original tuck, but is fabricated using the same Red Starfire Vellum that the Special Edition used. It has specially printed graphics, artwork and patterns on the inside and is finished with a beautiful embossing on the outside. Perhaps the most unique thing about this new tuck is the glossy all-black foil exterior. According to the USPCC, this is the first time foil has been the used this way. The negative space in the foil exposes the red vellum through the black foil, thus creating the artwork on the tuck.
Beginning Sunday, June 1st at 9am (PDT), the “Black Edition” Whispering Imps will be available for pre-order at a discounted price of $10.50 until June 6th. This is the best opportunity to stock up on this limited run of cards. On June 7th, they will be available at the regular retail price of $12.50.
These decks are printed and in the process of being packaged and shipped to Los Angeles where I will fulfill your orders. Anticipated fulfillment date: June 25, 2014
