Peafowl available on Aloys site
Peafowl launched yesterday, there were 90 white LE decks available (picked up a few), blacks are wide release.

Well since it is pretty clear they are USPC, according to the box, then there has got to be at least 2500 of each

IIRC there were claims of the White Tunes being extremely low. Not sure whether they were USPC though.

Bah, they've done this before. Watch them appear at various resellers shortly after their own "extremely limited" sale.

Have to agree. the limited Black Florals never went for a high price because they were readily available on eBay, ultimately selling for around 20-25 bucks, roughly twice the selling price of the deck. Their one exception is the White Tunes which skyrocketed in value and stayed there.MagikFingerz wrote:Bah, they've done this before. The deception in many cases of these LE decks is the company either won't tell us outright how many decks were printed or use vague terms like only so many decks will be "available" which leaves them open to make more available down the road.

Re: Peafowl available on Aloys site
The White Tunes weren't USPCC-printed AFAIK, so that would explain the limited numbers. For any custom USPCC decks we can just assume 2500 minimum, as I guess there's good reason pretty much nobody has printed less than that.Widdee wrote:Have to agree. the limited Black Florals never went for a high price because they were readily available on eBay, ultimately selling for around 20-25 bucks, roughly twice the selling price of the deck. That 'splains it. Wasn't sure who printed the Tunes. There oughta be a law that any print run over 1,000 can't be called a "limited edition."MagikFingerz wrote:The White Tunes weren't USPCC-printed AFAIK, so that would explain the limited numbers. Re: Peafowl available on Aloys site
Does anyone know if there was a stateside contact for US distribution on these decks? One of the white decks I received was opened. I have tried to reach out directly to aloys in the past and received little to no correspondence back from them.

Not that I know of, and I doubt there is one. Their wholesaling is probably just shipped directly from USPCC to the retailers. And they're not known for good communication when it comes to customer service either.stelwibe wrote:Does anyone know if there was a stateside contact for US distribution on these decks? You actually got an opened deck? I don't think that's happened to me ever

Re: Peafowl available on Aloys site
Tom - It was a first for me. It was like someone pulled the tear tape and left the bottom 3/4 of the film on the tuck. The seal had been sliced cleanly along the top, so it was not like the tear tape got snagged accidentally. It had definitely been open, although the cards were in the right order.
I will follow up with Dave. Thanks for the info CBJ.

Thanks for the details. Pretty big faux pas on their part.stelwibe wrote:Tom - It was a first for me. It was like someone pulled the tear tape and left the bottom 3/4 of the film on the tuck. And I stand corrected by CBJ. Not the first time, and probably won't be the last either
