Project has now relaunched. I updated Eog original post to keep it simple

Well, it's just a recolor of the back design. So yeah, might as well use the same thread.

The first (blue) deck is nowhere close to fulfillment btw

seems very wrong to launch the red deck, before the blue deck is unfulfilled, only people that have delivered previous decks on time, and a good quality should do this.

i backed the blue deck, but i will give this one a miss for now.

Good intentions, and I know this guy, but I understand the angst. He announced that he was going to split them in two pieces before he finished the first campaign, and it's been a expected to go up today per his announcements.

Hi All,
This is Doug Frye, the AEsir deck's creator back for the first time after the site's restoration. The crowd spoke and the red deck will be produced using my own funds. I'm going to make it available via BackerKit or another avenue to my original backers and anyone else who would like it. I appreciate the feedback I received and look forward to getting everyone their rewards. The current status is that pre-press requested some color choices and slight modifications, which I have completed. If everything's OK the last I heard is it would take about a week to send PDF proofs.

Hmm, $7.46 + shipping on Pengiun Magic, substantially cheaper than the KS pricing.

Probably because they wholesaled them to Murphy's but didn't ask for a retail price to be met by other stockists (which they can do). This would solve the issue.

I just posted the following thoughts on Doug's decks on Kickstarter, and wanted to share the same information here:

I just received my beautifully packaged box of Blue and Red Æsir Decks, seals, and your far too kind card too!

Thank You for creating both wonderful decks; and I'm truly sorry this had to be such an out-of-pocket costly experience for you!

I hope you can recoup your expenses a.s.a.p.; and I hope you will eventually take another shot at creating another (single!) deck, with a pledge goal that easily covers all of your time and expenses; with some profit for you too!

Your experiences with these decks, and on the card related web sites, are very educational for all of us still working on our first decks too!

Shipping is jacked up for all the pledge tiers. It's adding on World shipping if you're in the US even though US shipping should be included in the pledge tier. Hopefully Doug gets it fixed soon.

UPDATE: US shipping issues seem to be fixed now.
