I thought the same thing, that maybe the two could be more different as long as it's going to be two separate decks. You know how cautious creators are these days, he's likely waiting to see how things go with funding - and a lot of people start out with the basically the same standard and Limited Edition decks (some with just different tucks) and then end up after being well funded doing something entirely different.

Just to let you know he is changing the QoH. He is breaking a couple of rules in his cards. Can't have any court cards bleed to the edge. Good cardists would know what the card is. I invited him to talk about his cards. He really needs some help. I think the people here could give him some good suggestions. His shipping is whacked... If you think about it, it's almost like a Dale Mathis Kickstarter kind-of. I like the video.
Edit: opps i take that back he will be left to his demise.

Sprouts, what happened?
Based upon what I see on his KS page so far, and not know what Sprouts meant by "he will be left to his own demise," I like his video and his apparent enthusiasm; I just have no passion for steampunkery... and this design, though it looks well done, isn't my particular cup of tea. I'm going to pass, but I hope he does well, integrates feedback well, and builds upon what he learns. I also had passed on Uusi's original Blue Bloods (again recognizing that they had a good eye for design, but it just wasn't my cup of tea), but then saw them blossom with Bohemia and knock it out of the park with Royal Optik. I see potential with this crew; it'll be interesting to see how it develops.

I also went too easy on the Blue Blood Redux myself, and I'm not going to let that happen with the Pagan decks (and yes, I know we're in the wrong thread). In fact, I've got one of the calendars coming, and I already have plans to take the archival quality 5" x 7" images (all 12 courts) and frame them up along with the joker-like image on the front and aces from the back. Hard to beat a deal where you can essentially get 14 mini art prints for $35. I'll probably get #1 of 10 from what Linnea says. I guess everybody is running tight on money right now with it ending 5 days before Christmas.
