Me, myself and I

I suppose i should make an entry here. I'm a dedicated collector in the hard-core sense of the words, looking for deals and steals everywhere I go. Those of you that know me know that I am often the voice of reason - even under fire, which is why I suppose I got goat-roped into being a MOD here.
I try to look at things from every possible angle before I make up my mind, but once I have it's hard to change it, simply because I really try to be fair and unbiased about my decisions. If I know I'm right, backing down just isn't an option. When I'm shown to be wrong, it's easy enough for me to jump back and say so.
That being said, I'm certainly not infallible, far from it. If you have a beef, please don't turn it into a firefight or flame war in the forums. Send me a PM and we'll work it out - that's a promise.
If you have an issue with someone, let's try to be civil and not turn things into a fiasco. 99% of the time when two people have a misunderstanding, it's due to one - or both - having a very serious feelings and/or a lack of willingness to compromise. Remember that there are two side to every story, and sometimes three.
My favorite line on that is: Put three lawyers in a room and you wil get four or five impinions. That's a fact.
By now from reading my posts, everyone should know that I'm a native Charlesonian. I have lived all my life in "America's Most Historic City" (so the Chamber of Commerce says), and it's a wonderful place to live, visit and spend some time. I've already posted the open invitation to join us here next October (2014) for the "52 Plus Joker" (American Card Collectors Club) annual convention. I can promise you that it's going to be a good show, and likely surpass what anyone has seen in previous years if they have ever been to one. "ya'll come on down!"
