Re: D&D + Bruce Lee = Deck
If someone else did this, I'd be ecstatic. D$D already had the yellow Chinatowns, which were somewhat of a tip of the hat to Bruce Lee. Someone remaking a theme they've half-assed before just makes things less exciting. But if they can manage to do it justice and Fulton stays away, I'll be happy.

Why do you guys hate Brad Fulton so much, did I miss something??MagikFingerz wrote:If someone else did this, I'd be ecstatic. D&D + Bruce Lee
D&D put up a few pics yesterday. Looks like chinatowns game of deaths but with a black and yellow face, a signature of bruce lee. Hmm and gold deck stays ?!

Here you can see the front of the tuck box. Really boring deck imo.

I like the box for some reason, but the faces aren't my cup of tea. I'll probably pass on these.

A blue deck of cards can be seen behind the deck stray. Could be thisvolantangel wrote:

Re: D&D + Bruce Lee = Deck
I like the idea, but why go full bleed on the faces and keep the white border on the back - THAT seems lazy, especially as they normally like too be seen to cater for performers.
If they had gone full bleed yellow and incorporated the black band motif on the back (like Empire) I'd be in like flynn. As is... meh.

Nope pretty sure the deck behind the deck stay is the Monarchs Deck.Naxx wrote:A blue deck of cards can be seen behind the deck stray. Could be thisvolantangel wrote:

Re: D&D + Bruce Lee = Deck
Nope i think Naxx is right, that might be a new deck from D&D. Monarchs dont have that colour nor that seal. The colour is exactly that of the poster D&D posted. Might be interesting. Plus why would D&D use a deck other than theirs ?

If you look a few posts up, you can see the backs (a little blurry).
They look identical to the G.O.D. Chinatown Deck.
I wish the yellow had been included in the borders... to tell them apart easier.
The indices font looks different, though. But who knows if the courts will be.

I'm a huge fan of Bruce Lee and I feel this half-assed offering is actually disrespectful to his memory.

I agree. Just putting some pics of him on the ad cards is at novelty level at best.sinjin7 wrote:I'm a huge fan of Bruce Lee and I feel this half-assed offering is actually disrespectful to his memory.

Re: D&D + Bruce Lee = Deck
This might be the worst deck D$D ever released. Those pics of BL look like clip art. I can't believe the backs have white borders but the faces are full bleed yellow. And why the hell is this deck yellow in the first place? What does this color scheme have to do with BL? Is it a racist choice because BL is asian?
But of course this deck will be ultra limited (if you don't count the hundreds bricks waiting to be discovered in D$D attic). Where are all the D$D fanboys now? I want some of those fuckers to come here and defend this shit oozing out of the Buck$ ass cracks. When was the last really good deck produced by D$D? I can't even remember anymore......

Re: D&D + Bruce Lee = Deck
@MagikFingerz - ah, that makes sense.
@comicsecret - Fantastique was definitely a cool deck, I actually liked the Clip Joint, the only decent Fulton deck, and these two were released a loooong time ago. Everything else has been downhill ever since.

That along with the obvious one-way "BL" they added to the back only makes it more novelty-like to me.Firthetic wrote:It looks like there are words on the black bar in the middle - probably quotes from Bruce Lee.
