Hmm, not really feeling the colors, particularly the grey part. Will make fans pretty boring.

Curious about the "better stock".

I like the look of these. Definitely going to pick a few up.
If anyone has got any of the v1's they want to sell I'd like a couple. I saw them & totally forgot to buy at the time!

The first edition is a bit overpriced at most resellers. Try ebay for a better price.
i went for the 10 decks plus New Fan Backs, since i always wanted them in my collection, it was a good deal for me.
:)

Im liking this version; custom courts, better finish, unique colour scheme.

It's not their fault, it really isn't. Shipping from Hong Kong and China is amongst the cheapest in the world, which massively aids the huge export industry. I don't know if it's subsidised by the govt but it certainly helps those companies out. If the US companies offered free shipping they would lose money / especially on one deck! USPS's prices are the cause unfortunately for them.

The decks are more expensive though. $11 compared to the $6-8 the US companies usually sell theirs for. I'm not going to do a big comparison on prices of decks+shipping, but I suspect the difference isn't as big as it seems.

True, also the shipping will vary in price too. I suspect posting to Singapore will be much cheaper than the UK.

Though if a US company offered $11 and free shipping they would still be losing money.

Hey Guys!!!

Long time no see!!!

You guys really have to excuse me for being crazy excited, not because of the new releases, but a life changing event.
I was nearly a perfect spokesperson for fatboyeatallday a few months back, and I am proud to say that I am no longer an ideal candidate for that, feel free to check out the photos on my facebook.

Don't really have too much to say about v2. fatboy deck, except I think it's very trendy and stylish... 8-)

Do take a look of the T-shirts as part of this release, the Cardistry one was designed by me, hope you guys like it!

Cheers,
Zenneth

I have seen them. Reminds me of this quote from Mamet's "State and Main": "It's the truth that you should never trust anybody who wears a bow tie. Cravat's supposed to point down to accentuate the genitals. Why'd you wanna trust somebody whose tie points out to accentuate his ears?"

What kind of brand did you use as blanks for your shirts? Are the designs screen printed or DTG printed?

Really not so sure, fatboys said white Tees are water print and black tees are rubber print.

mine arrived yesterday and i was happy to see the two blank facers in the deck. one with the regular back design and one with a black/grey color combination back design.
I do a magic routine where i use a odd back blank facer so this is perfect for my needs ;)

They do handle like the V1´s if you ask me.
Doing faro weaves are not as smooth as with a USPCC deck (like the Legends decks or the V1 Fatboys).
Fanning is not a problem - however do not expect them to be like butter as the Ellusionist´s decks.
For cuts they are perfect, the edges are clean and you have a secure grip thanks to the stiff card stock.
Also since they are not that slippery they stay very well together in cuts and twist/twirls/spins/deck flips etc.
The new colors for the courts are ok...nothing breath taking or special but at least they did something to them to make them stand out from the V1´s.
I would recommend them to any cardist!
Thanks Zenneth!

Seconded. I said pretty much the same about the V1's. Fanning isn't good straight out of the box, but seems to improve as the deck gets more broken in.

I do wonder what the reasoning was behind the rather odd choice of colors on these though.

Guys,

A quick heads up for v.2 fatboy playing cards.

Stock level has come down to the last 300 decks and it will not be printed again.
If you ever interested in getting some, then consider this the last chance to restock or give it a shot.

Cheers,
Zenneth
