i'm happy to discover this forum because i'm a brand new collector from France and it is quite difficult to find good resources about American playing cards here.
I discovered magic and cards 6 months ago only and i'm already an addict. I need to find a cure
I have started buying Bicycle cards, many Seconds decks to train myself, then Dan and Dave cards and my collector's mind made me buy a large amount of different decks from different collectors.
As a fan of Dominique Duvivier i also wanted to buy the famous Jerry's Nugget. And became a vintage cards' fan especially with the Golden Nugget cards. More colors, less expensive and with many different styles.
I have started buying vintage cards, sometimes making mistakes, buying expensive cards that should not be expensive, buying fake cards (Jerry's Nugget) but now i think i have a quite good knowledge and i'm also happy to get new ideas from other collectors (even if collectors are always secret and don't want to talk about their tricks !)
I'm really interested in the story of Golden Nugget cards : which color was available when ? what are the different styles ? I have seen articles about that but they contain mistakes and they are not always precise. I have started a survey about these cards to try and get real data about the years these cards were produced. If you want to take part in it, tell me.
And i'm always interested in Golden Nugget and cards from this golden era of Vintage playing cards
