Where do I start. The functionality of the cards doesn't work. I'll keep it simple. I see what they are trying to do with the clock, but I feel like shaking the baby. I feel like pledging for a deck and scolding them. I know MagikFingerzs brain is going to pop when he sees this deck with its thick ass borders. Poor guy he has gone through enough. I don't know. I think this one is so far off I think I will watch it burn....

What worries me is the very low project goal. We do not have any names just a company name...Red Flag a la Founders..Staying away
This quote made me laugh
We haven't stopped just there, instead of just 52 cards drawn and created just for Kickstarter, we have added 2 jokers into the mix. (54 Cards)
Wow jokers what a concept

Yea, low goal and not connect to Facebook or anything. Doesn't look like he has done his homework. I'm sorry so many red flags everywhere....remember The Founders I have to admit I was taken by that guy. That was a real professional looking Kickstarter. Hell, I have to admit my video is going to use some of their techniques. BmPokerworld will like this "If you don't remember the past it will repeat itself" Watch for people who don't give you a lot contact information....

In the comment section:
Vjose32 - "Warning!! People do NOT back this project, too many red flags!! First of all, not connected to Facebook (something to hide?) and has not had any other projects! Secondly his goal is way way way too low for a USPC Bicycle deck of cards. If this project gets funded at 1000 pounds that is only a fraction of what is needed to print these cards and in the end you will not get what you paid for because either it won't print or won't be a Bicycle deck! So I would stay away if I was you until this creator calls USPC and does some homework for his project!"
DB Designs - "Very unprofessional!
I'm sorry but this comment is very unfair. You do not know us or our deals. Like everyone else we have to start somewhere, not everyone can have funded projects in under a few weeks.
Please don't post false information, a simple private message asking the right questions would of been much better, I would of explained it much quicker and less of a drama scene.
These are Bicycle cards, min 2,500 prints. If you have connections it's a different story. I know what my project is."

Clearly Victor was right. If they cancelled the project because of a comment, then they had no idea what they were doing. The statement about having connections at USPCC is absolute BS. Another unknown trying to jump on the bandwagon without a clue. If the project funded, the project would have had a high probability of being another failed campaign because the amount they were seeking was just way too low.
Good job Victor!!!
Thanks!

He raised some good points, but Vjose32 is a total nutjob.

This is the way I see it. badpete69 is the ambassador of Unitedcardists and you vmagic have become the police of Unitedcardists. You frisk them a bit and say, "Hey, where is your F#$%ing Facebook Page and your crap doesn't add up have you done your homework?." I'm starting to feel a bit more safe around here since the Founder debacle. Do we need a fireman? Someone to fan the flames for a great deck of cards? Any doctors out there to heal a sick Kickstarter?

Very true. I just makes me sick that he needs to change just one simple thing and this could at least be a functional deck. I feel for him; I was in his shoes once, but I don't want to waste any more energy. I don't think they even know what a "1-way" back is. It looks like he has included his shipping cost for 2,500 decks. At least he has those numbers right...

Number and court cards shouldn't look the same.

Look closer - they don't. The courts (and jokers) have a distinctive white background behind the clock faces as opposed to the black or red backgrounds on the number cards.
I think we should cut the guy some slack. It's not a slick job, it's far from perfect, but he did pretty much everything people suggested and linked Facebook and Twitter accounts, etc.The cards, well - different. The project - could use some polish, but it's his first go at it. I've seen (far!) worse.

I agree that the creator seems to be trying hard, but I think's he's trying to shoehorn the 13 cards of a suit into a base-12 (clock face), and it's just not a good fit.
If I were to try something like this, I'd think the best way to do it would be to map Ace through Queen to 1-12 on the clock face (and do more than just highlight the number - make, in some way, the suit into a clock hand pointing at the number). Then do totally custom "Clockwork Kings."
Hmm.
Sounds a little steampunkish. Which I know is overdone these days. But still...

His new Kickstarter is here:
We need to update this on the first post. I hate scrolling down to a link. Are we falling behind?
Brillig - You are right he has a functional deck. I just wish he didn't cancel 2 times; It makes him look bad. I won't bug him anymore. He has listened to the suggestions. I like your idea of the King being special on the clock face. The King is the 13th card. The King should be "Steampunkish" I sense a miss opportunity for christ sake we have zombies and pirates, Oh my....
Edit: Crap I left before checking the link. It works now. Don't make me a moderator. I suck.

I understand there was a little disagreement. I haven't seen either one for a few days here. I don't know the details, and I won't speculate. I buy cards from Pete, so he's a friend, but I haven't seen him here in the past few days. I for one, would like to see them back as well. Pete has been active on ebay, I know because I just heard from him a few days ago there. I'm not a mod and the board is private, maybe Michael can shed some light on what happened? I really don't know other than I heard there was some disagreement.
Re: Clockwork Bicycle® Playing Cards Deck now live again on
Interesting, and a shame, really. I think everybody likes Pete - could be wrong, but he seems very level-headed. Whatever, I don't get involved in the drama, either.
I don't frequent "that place", although I have to admit that I did sneak over there and post an invite to the 52PlusJoker convention in Charleston (next October). Ah, I got the dates wrong, I need to go fix... It's October 15-18 instead of 23-26 (Wednesday to Saturday the previous week instead of the Thursday to Sunday that I posted).
