Hand drawn or generated? I like the idea of the theme but can’t make it out. EDIT: please read this as a genuine question as opposed to a criticism

On the campaign page - follow the link - is a progress gif that kinda indicates that at least that card is created by human hand on a mouse or graphic pen.

The same question popped into my mind as well. It’s quite disappointing to learn that the last one was AI-generated.whatwillitbenow wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 5:40 pm Hand drawn or generated? Limme see if I can upload it here. Not saying it's solid proof of anything. I'm not a graphic design expert and am not too familiar with what AI is capabale of.

It's no secret I like Nicolai's work, but the decks he releases under this pseudonym are mostly misses for me, AI or not. I do have one of the Illuminati decks, which pairs nicely with Vengeance of Witches. If you look closely at the bottom seals, Vengeance and Illuminati are both part of the "Trials" series!
I missed the first Gothica campaign and picked up some items later during an Isolated Thunderstorm sale. I'm glad to have the coin, which goes nicely with the others I have from Nicolai and Marianne's campaigns. I wish I had skipped the decks.

These are 100% hand-drawn, and I can clearly see the exceptional skill required to create such illustrations.Harvonsgard wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2025 6:50 am Limme see if I can upload it here. Do you remember the storm in a cup when I asked a question about AI to some designer (I don't remember his name)? Well, that question wasn’t even about AI itself but about why someone would make fake sketches to cover up their inability to create everything on their own—it’s easier just to be honest. In this case, everything is clear, especially when you see the process. If a designer can create illustrations at this level, there’s no reasonable need to use AI!
