A Deck based on "Cut Here" packaging

Unread post by bongo_kira »

I've begun to design my first deck! Its based around all of those "cut here" parts on packaging, as I think it could be really minimal in a way which I love! Heres the pips:

These, in my opinion have come off quite well, however, i attempted designing a card and it feels very subpar.

I coloured the card as I'm partially designing for poker games with friends, so making flushes more visible will quicken the pace of games, however if it makes it look worse I'll quickly go back on that, and it appears thats one of my 2 issues. The other is clearly the font. It's too generic, and just looks slapped on without much thought, which sucks because I'm desperately trying to think of what to do! Any help in design would be greatly appreciated. Any more info as I expand this deck and flesh it out, I'll put in this thread. Thank you all for your generosity, and I expect to be critised as hard as possible! :D

It may be hard to read these cards if they're held in a fanning position.

So true kev, having the index separated from the suit pip is a no-no
Why not just buy some great game playing cards like these Hesslers (free shipping)
