An introduction for a new collector

Hello there! - I’m new to collecting just started in late 2024 and I’m hooked. My name is a Justin and my day job is as a (Software) Engineering Executive at a healthcare startup

In my free time I’ve started building https://www.playingcardhub.com as a (potential) replacement/improvemnt to what’s been started with Portoflio52 (which as I understand is having some issues as of late)

Happy to be part of this community and looking forward to some great conversations and engagements here!

Oh and FYI - Current Deck count is about 30 (rookie numbers I know…)

Welcome to UC and playing card collecting. So, what hooked you on collecting playing cards? Thanks for setting up a website for loading our decks. I kept thinking about building something myself, but I am just too lazy. When I saw one of Stockholm17's kickstarter campaigns, I was hooked.

for me - since I have a background in design (and development) - it was the visual aspect of the cards and the decks, I saw some theory11 decks (Monarch) and then I also saw Stockholm17 and thought - yea... this is where I want to be.

Hey & Welcome aboard. Enjoy the forum. Lots of cool info on decks here. More than you could possibly imagine.

Look into Oath Playing Cards…. Because that’s where you’ll end up finishing…

Cheers,
KW

Also, searching our threads on decks of interest can yield some interesting facts about the decks and their creation.
