The bat signal looks old school. I’m betting a similar vintage style as the recent Superman deck.

Maybe same as Darth Vader- different tuck, same on the inside.

I was hoping for a colorful and campy 1966 Batman TV show related deck.

I really hope it’s going to be a full TAS deck. Probably the media property from my youth for which I have the most nostalgia.

I'll go on record as being disappointed. I liked the "vintage Superman" deck so much I was really hoping this was a companion deck in the same style. I will say it looks nice for what it is, though.

Meh. That transition looks very average so why would you employ it on the AoS too!

Honestly I like it better than I thought I would, but probably wont be picking it up as it doesnt really stand out in any way or fit into a real theme Im interested in any more.

I agree with the potato; I had higher hopes. Plus side, I save a bit of money.

And probably region lock again :/
Ugh, T11 doesn’t want to held responsibility over some of their decks can’t be shipped to certain countries…

I'll politely just leave this here as it would (hopefully) answer your question as to why some decks have country restrictions. It's not because theory11 doesn't want to ship to you (promise).

and a snippet regarding country restrictions from the link above - as they will surely be more often than not involved with these types of properties…

BATMAN Eighty Fifth Year ....
I would have left that off - 85 is a pretty meaningless anniversary

This Batman deck surely interesting, and it’s DC, and like it’s failing DCEU, it’s all about Batman.
Regarding the snippet,
When T11 released the Blue and Red, and then Black and White, then Gold, I managed to get them directly from T11. So, why suddenly Year of the Dark Side is region locked? And added, when I am about to check out, I quickly get SPAMMED by them through email, saying my order is canceled
I don’t what the heck happened, but T11 is trying to avoid about this with sweet talking

The image on the Ace reminds me of a quote that seems kinda funny in light of the fact that they can't sell this to certain countries:
"Some days, you just can't get rid of a bomb!"
(I find it funny, but no, I don't really think this deck is a bomb. I like it. I hope it does well. I'm sure they had a lot of negotiations to do to get all the likenesses signed off.)

Doesn’t sound like sweet talking at all. There’s plenty that could have happened between now and then. Maybe there’s a portrayal of a character in a new show that’s only streaming in certain locations. Maybe certain licensing agreements ended. Maybe Disney is racist. Don’t let a lack of imagination steer your judgement.

Sweet talking? Nothing in their statement appears to be anything other than the reality of a bad situation which they don't seem to have control over. I'm no T11 fanboy, but they really don't seem at fault here.

Sure is, but no small feat and this is something WB and DC have collectively pushed for 2024. You'll see it in other products as well celebrating the 85th (even Funko joined in). With "The Batman" movies continuing it's either celebrate the 85th or wait until the 90th or even the 100th before any other major celebration. If I were turning 85...I'd want to celebrate it in a big way...vs waiting another 5 years for 90

If they really speak the truth about the “region lock” thing, then I take my words back and understand. Perhaps, in order to get those “limited” T11 decks, I have to wait till it hits Murphys. Turns out, till now, there are already a few decks of theirs that still didn’t make it to Murphys - WB100, Academy Awards
About their shipping, that is them “sweet talking”. Why? Because they still doing big mistakes over and over: sending 1-2 decks in a very big box with only protection is paper

I don't have a copy yet, but Darth Vader isn't the same as previous Star Wars decks. I can see from the cards shown that there are new subjects: Darth Maul, Stormtrooper, Battle Droid. Even the repeats (Vader, Kylo Ren, Palpatine) have new art.
As for the subject of this thread, I'll pass. I would have liked it better if they had old/new courts like the Star Trek deck, but I suppose there are too many versions of Batman alone. Still, having multiple versions of some characters (e.g. Catwoman) and not others feels uneven.

Another idea I just thought of: make each suit a separate era/film:
- Adam West TV series: West, Julie Newmar, Burt Ward
- Tim Burton films: Michael Keaton, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jack TBD
- Christopher Nolan films: Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Jack TBD
- Snyderverse or the new cast
And the Jokers should be Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger.
