University of Chicago Playing Cards

This was getting a lot of discussion in another thread, so I made one of it's own. Here's the gist of the original post.

I was poking around Mr Philip Cheaney's website (the designer of The Amazing Deck), and found photos of another deck he designed for the University of Chicago Alumni.
Very cool looking cards using the University's stained glass windows and many gargoyles as inspiration.

Mr. Cheaney is not able to help acquire any. But I'm doing research into it now, and hope to have some useful information about this deck soon.

On their web site I came across this great slide show of the work behind the deck. Shows the gargoyles Cheaney was working from.

Dazzleguts - Loved the King of Clubs with the corn. Now that guy had a solid old timely theme. Not like the crap I'm seeing today like drawing 3 courts and putting the same ones on all the suits.... Lazy

I did it already. I was going to post instructions but Dazz beat me to it. I emailed them the night before and "donated" my $ the next morning after they replied. The unfortunate fact is I don't open my decks so you guys won't see the artwork from me. You'll just get a "look what I added" Post. Hopefully someone else bites and posts some pics.

Okay. A few weeks have gone by and I have not been idle.

Been in constant contact with the U of C, and after much delay...
I can at last confirm that these will be available for purchase for around $11 each.
Apologies to the $50 donaters

The when is tricky. I may be able to get some shipped by the end of the week.
But when they will be online, or available by phone for everyone else... I don't know yet.

I can definitely secure as many as are needed by everyone. No idea what the print run is, or how many will be available through my contact.

But domestic orders should probably go directly through my source at the U of C.
You'll get your decks faster and won't pay any extra in time and shipping from me.

I would suggest only international seekers contact me about decks, and I will sort them out.
...in my scads of free time ... it may take a few days.
