Looking for design advice - Conflicted about full art cards

hi everyone!
what are your opinions on full art/borderless cards?

I just received my first sample deck from my Kickstarter and it looks like I made a newbie mistake. All the cards have borderless art. They look quite good individually and I think they work well as a concept, but I don't like the way they look while I hold them together, especially from the side.

So here is the question: is it worth adding a white border to prevent this?
is it weird to make design changes at this stage? The Kickstarter is already live and fully funded, not sure if the change is significant enough.
how small can I make the borders without risking problems with cut accuracy? I'm printing with shuffled ink (and staying very far away from uspcc)

worth clarifying that this deck is made with a very casual audience in mind, my plan is to sell it in souvenir and gift shops and not serious collectors or magicians

I am thinking that the people that are going to use this deck for game play are not going to be gambling and using the 'edge information' that borderless cards can sometimes provide
In which case I imagine the full art cards probably look better (not that I have seen a bordered version)
If it was a concern to you, edge printing or gilding are other remedies

I backed this campaign and have no intention of using it to play with. I really like the artwork and want to enjoy it through the medium of cards which I happen to collect.

One way to remedy the issue is to go with gilding, as the borderless aspect of this deck is appealing. Using white borders might take some of that charm away.

The only issue would be that gilding adds cost, although I'm not sure by how much.
