Re: The Evokad Chronicles: Death Knight Playing Cards
probably linking to KS, the forum wont show an unreleased project usually
released on the 5th
4 decks?
n a world torn by chaos and twisted by shadow, a lone warrior known only as the Death Knight embarks on a perilous journey through realms of despair, fire, and transformation. This saga, captured across four unique editions—Abyss, Inferno, Grotesque, and Redemption—unfolds the hero’s tragic path and ultimate triumph, offering collectors and fans a chance to explore each stage of his evolution.
We are a new group of playing card designers looking to elevate playing card designs to the next level by offering in depth stories and immersive themes that go beyond aesthetics. Our goal is to redefine what playing cards can be by weaving a rich narrative into every deck, offering an experience that’s as compelling as it is visually stunning.

Re: The Evokad Chronicles: Death Knight Playing Cards
The extension itself is flawed in that it has trouble calling the link if the project isn't live yet. This seemed to start sometime in 2023, so hsbc and I both tend to put a separate link in conventional format as well.KGthePrince wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 5:47 pm Ive been having issues with links lately. Perhaps there's an update the admins can download that fixes this bug or implementing a new extension entirely, while keeping the old one intact so it doesn't deprecate old posts.

21 followers so far with a potential launch date of October 5th. I worry this project needs to do more marketing and get on people's radars.
Since King Star is used to printing such art heavy decks, maybe these will turn out fine. I just worry about the art looking muddied.
Unless I have a connection to the story line or characters, it's hard for me to bite when it comes to fantasy decks.

Great if you're a fan of Kingstar or the Art style. Kingstar's art style doesn't suit my preferences so I've never gotten their decks.
But yes, the art looks muddied in the pics. Would be good to see actual prototypes or else it'll be a disappointment when they get printed.

The foiling and art style on these cards gives a lot of TCG vibes. It feels closer to yugioh, or pokemon
Unrelated but pro tip: yugioh cards make excellent book markers
