Sometimes I wonder if people are just bad at gauging whether something would be successful or not.

It's so interesting to see something I've never heard of referred to as "the viral meme that conquered the internet." Goes to show how stuff circulates in different internet bubbles.

Interestingly, according to the wikipedia page the eponymous girl has filed trademarks for the phrase.

“It is ideal for collectors and meme enthusiasts.” - a phrase that made by brain stop short and look for a handrail to hold…

They really have managed to “capture and capture” the spirit of the meme.

That's pretty much what I felt when I read that just now.

LOL! By the time this is pledged and funded (IF IT DOES), Hawk Tuah Girl will be long irrelevant! What is this guy thinking?!

Looking into the background of this creator and the various (14!) projects that they tried on Kickstarter was quite the rabbit hole. Of the three that have been "succesful" (funded that is) to date, each has had its own challenges. There's a lot more if you look (including an interesting LinkedIn profile and his own playing card company web site) but that's enough for me.

I think it's kind of a trashy theme to build a deck around, but best of luck to them.

The designers have some nice designs. Pity they are wasting it on themes like these. Telling that they only managed to fund about 2-3 decks.
