Can you Block someone's Avatar?
I know I am a bit weird but there is an Avatar that I hate and I would prefer to not see it
Is there a way to block someone's avatar without blocking them?
Where I play online poker I can do this easily

If it's me then I think I just found Megatron...

No admin, but I'd say no.
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash thatβs being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

I donβt think so, but I may be under the hypnotic control of harvs avatar, preventing me from escaping its sinister gripβ¦
Is it my big toe in my avatar that you find offensive? I can only fan with my feetβ¦

You guys are all good LOL
In the past I have hinted at harvs giving his av to me and G knows I would buy his one off backs
I am just being very quirky about an av that features someone who I cannot stand

Re: Can you Block someone's Avatar?
If you're using a browser like Chrome, you can use ublock origin to block avatars (right click on it, block element, it should know to block that specific avatar. I tried with one and it doesn't block random avatars, just the one I selected for blocking). If you're on mobile then I got nothin.

Re: Can you Block someone's Avatar?
Yes it (thanks to bdawg) has made the internet so much better - those pesky ads on sites like IMDB etc are gone
Let's face it we can all live with anybody's choice of avatar but to get rid of so many ads - what a bonus!

Re: Can you Block someone's Avatar?
I like those ones Tim, harvs is definitely in the top 5 avs on here.
I am glad I started this thread as I got a wonderful solution to further improve whacky me's enjoyment of this forum but I would never want to draw attention to someone's choice of avatar purely because I react weirdly to it

Re: Can you Block someone's Avatar?
I did bet on the first one but failed miserably so, I'm not giving it another try . Especially after having dropped a grand on energy bills last month ...

Re: Can you Block someone's Avatar?
Well I dug out the old 2001 blu-ray today and found 3 hours to watch not only the whole movie but also one of the extras - the doco 'The Making of a Myth'. I never realized the connection between HAL and IBM
What with this forum's recent debates on AI, it seemed appropriate to be watching HAL in operation.
Of course it won the Oscar for Best Special Effects but it is hard to believe that it wasn't even nominated for Best Picture
I intend to watch the other Extra features soon
You are of course the rousselle
