Cost is a bit much for me considering NPCC. I think the Cirque Luciole decks were about 36-38$ shipped. Strange that the only images of the faces are in the snippets of the video. Lots of pics of the tucks throughout but not the cards.

There's plenty of pictures on the campaign of the faces. Maybe they didn't load for you?

ABOUT SHIPPING!
You won’t pay for shipping until after the campaign is over, and the cards are ready to ship!
Kickstarter takes 10% of every dollar raised in a campaign. This means creators have to charge more for shipping just to cover these extra costs. Also, Kickstarter doesn't have good tools to figure out shipping costs for combined pledges and add-ons, so creators have to bump up their prices even more (just to be safe). That's why a lot of projects end up asking for more money for shipping than it actually costs.
I haven't heard of this before.
Sounds so wrong that the creator puts 10% and more charge on shipping, ain't it?
"have to charge more" lol. Like they're blaming Kickstarter for its existence.

I wonder whether it is the little glitch that I am finding with KS this week - when I scroll down the deck/campaign details disappear
I am on a desktop - anyone else finding this?

Top of KS says Kyiv, Ukraine while clicking on Trident Playing Cards says Columbus OH - which is it?

I can still only see the top of the campaign so I watched the video. I can also click on Trident and noted that the artist is Shapeshifters.
Shapeshifters were the artist for the Stronghold decks. The video only shows the 3 courts from one deck and 3 from another. Not necessarily matching the same suits but the courts are definitely a reworking of Stronghold courts - improved by the look of the video, so if you like Stronghold then these may be for you.
Stronghold were 99% likely USPC however - "56 striking playing cards manufactured on quality Bicycle® stock paper using the same processes as the world's leading playing card."

Okay I figured this out now, how foolish of me.
They're saying backers will save 10% on this campaign because they won't charge shipping on KS.
Maybe the meaning got lost in translation. Or maybe they're just talking bullsh*t anyway.
One would think that creators have that 10% covered on item prices already.
Anyway, can anyone vouch for thjmis creator? I backed for now but I'm not sure if I'll keep it. They have great renders but that's it. They will also ship from Ukraine, is that possible with the ongoing war?

All I can tell you is I received my Shakespeare deck in the US with no hitches in 2023. Don't think the invasion had happened yet, though. But I've also learned any creator can flake at any time if financial problems hit unexpectedly. Your mileage may vary.
